I did social media consulting for them a few months ago. I knew one of their videographers who brought me on, and then met the rest of their social media team. GREAT men, super talented and Christian, I feel so bad for them being laid off out of the blue. I’ve also not been paid for that consulting yet either. What a shame a man who brands himself as a Christian business owner put his luxuries over hard workers with families to feed.

Thats why i quit labor jobs.. got my associates in system admin and have been in IT for over 7 years now. Just started as a software developer recently and make well over what i actually need. Work from home and have mad time to myself. Started renting a fleet of cars on Turo with all my extra time cash revenue. Good luck out there.

PS2 what I wrote below. I'll never believe anything's Forbes says again it must been written by somebody that was hacked into selling real estate. The last part of this video speaks the truth. By the way your car insurance will jump tremendously if you moved to Vallejo. Like this guy said his car has been broken into many times. I'd say most of the crime in Vallejo is drug-based. Once upon a time it was a darling town but that was many years ago

Run for the forest and don't look back. That is a quote from Bambi's mother but it sure applies for Vallejo. I had a car stolen from my house. My mother and dad had a car stolen from their house. My husband had a car stolen from his house. My elderly aunt had a man come through her window in the middle of the night and Rob her. My step-sister had a man stick a gun in her ribs at Target and steal her purse. And worst of all a family member had a small child molested by a man on the way home from school. All this happened many years ago when the city was solvent you think that's bad you want to see it now. There are a lot of beautiful old homes in Vallejo. When it was a thriving Navy town during World War 1 and World War 2 there were some really nice structures built with a lot of character. Real estate is still expensive there. The city can't afford to pave the streets. When Mare Island closed years back the economy of the town suffered greatly. You can hardly find a public restroom to use in Vallejo even in Big Chain supermarkets like Safeway because there are so many homeless people and if they don't have a sign up saying no public restroom they'll tell you it's broken. Shoplifting is over the moon in the stores can't do anything about it unless it's over $1,000 and don't try to get the cops to come because they got bigger fish to fry. As a result the prices are very high. It's sad because it is a beautiful little town with hills and the water but it's sullied just like San Francisco.

Forbes who? Forbes magazine or Steve Forbes recommended Vallejo, California? I know Steve owns the magazine, but the recommendation was only in regards to MONEY for real estate, not quality of living, I'm sure. I lived in Vallejo at 2 different places when I was a kid. Both my parents and all 4 grandparents lived there too. It has changed a lot. Thanks for the Video.

Is it realistic to find a job in SF where the jobs pay a lot more and commute from Vallejo by ferry to SF? That way you’d get the cheap living of Vallejo with the higher paying jobs of the city.

The most amazing thing about Vallejo is that the housing prices have basically not changed very much from what the prices were back 17 years ago in 2006. The housing prices is about ready to pop. All the negative things you said in this video are easy fix. Changing housing prices down to affordability in the Bay Area is an impossible thing. My amazing midcentury modern house in Vallejo was estimated to be worth $680,000 in 2006, and its estimated worth now is about $750,000. You can still find amazing midcentury modern houses in Vallejo for less than a million bucks. Everywhere else in the bay area, midcentury modern houses have doubled their 2006 prices and some have increased 3X in price since 2006. Plenty of Victorian and Mission style houses in Vallejo as well. Vallejo is an older town, and have many large trees all over the town. I often look down at the town during my hikes on the bay ridge trail to see a forest flowing through all the neighborhoods in Vallejo. I can also see beautiful San Pablo Bay, Mount Tamalpias, the Napa Delta/River, and beyond to Sonoma and Contra Costa. Vallejo holds so much potentials, in my humble opinion, as a long time home owner in Vallejo.
