    Sorry this may b true for some. 4 me when I switched to Carnivore, I lost weight with no effort. ( 4stones by eating until I was full ss dr Ken berry tells us to.) no longer insulin resistance with threat of full blown Disbetes. BP no more tablets needed. I believe this is the natural way of eating for humans. Veg n crabs convert to sugar in your body quickly increasing blood sugars. I hope those seeking better health will go balance this info with dr Ken berry on carnivore eating. Try both see ehat works for YOU. Carnivore works 4 me. Been eating this wat for 3 years now - I am health, no medication at all. I'm 76.

    What was frustrating for me, was asking my doctor what diet I should eat at my last appointment and he told me to go to the Crohns and colitis website that was useless. I have tried whole food only Keto and whole food only Carnivore and I also even tried a liquid only protein smoothie diet. I finally realized that the only common denominator was dairy and animal products. I dont see my gastroenterologist again until October, so I am going too start a plant based whole food diet Friday the 14th of July giving me 3 months to give a Vegan diet a good try so I can let him know what worked.

    Plant based diets are full of land mines and not to be taken lightly. Lots of chemicals, dangers of heavy metals like those found in spinach and the list goes on. There are countless studies that directly contradict the messaging in this video. Give credit where it’s due…Yes, all the chemicals talked about here are to be avoided but that’s basic common sense for any diet. However, those on strict vegetarian diets are not providing their bodies with proper nutrition. Furthermore, fiber is just not necessary in virtually any diet. And for someone with Crohns, it can be detrimental causing blockages within the bowel. This is a fact. Any vegetable in substantial amount can do this as well. I’m 51 and was diagnosed over 25 years ago. I was tossed into a world of meds like steroids, and other standard Crohns meds/treatments. When I moved to a diet rich in the right fats, no seed oils, very little dairy, grass fed proteins, no processed foods, no emulsifiers, and no simple sugars, and no high fructose. And btw, 99% of almond milks and other nut milks are full of junk and very little of the nut itself. Please everyone, look at the interest behind this messaging which puts its conclusions in question at best. IT’S LITERALLY FUNDED BY AN ORGANIZATION CALLED VEGFUND! If you choose your diet based on philosophical principals then so be it. However, the human body was not built to live on a vegetarian diet. Do your research, become educated, and have many blessings!

    Seems to be an either/or. Some say carnivore works, some say plant only. So a balance with the two doesn't work then. I was on a very fruit and veg centered diet, still with meat in smaller portions, and even some days there was no meat. But that didn't help me at all. And I feel quite ill now since last September with nausea and psoriasis, but the doctors don't seem to be able to figure it out. Azathioprine gave me pancreatitis. Then I went to Methotrexate which was then combined with Infliximab. After the third Infliximab I had to stop Methotrexate because my low white cell count. Three weeks later I started feeling extremely faint and two weeks after that developed a crazy postule rash which changed into psoriasis. Last Infliximab was end of October and I'm back on Methotrexate since two weeks ago. The past 5 months I've never been so sick in my whole life. I've been to A&E in 2022 more times than the rest of my whole life. Only since I've started to eat eggs more often, instead of once a week, I've started to feel marginally better. If the plant based evidence is so strong, especially regarding additives in food, why isn't the NHS influencing public policy so people can afford to eat more healthily? 🤔 I think I should just take a career break, because I've never ever been so ill ever. Things really kicked off when I took a promotion at work.

    Each to their own, I think it comes down to you personally and your microbiome, to our family certain plants are very very inflammatory, grains are a hard no, along with legumes beans, tomatoes and some nuts - even those are tough as they are contaminated with other nuts, dairy or cow dairy also. Meat and fish works, preferably with pasture or wild raised animals. Lots and lots of Bone broth Meat or fish, every day and we're as happy as larry, whoever he is, For those of you suffering you must look after your microbiome, you need to seed it and feed it, soil based ones work for us, water kefir if you can't have dairy, we like coconut but it's not for everyone, find what works for you and you alone, in our family we have celiac, IBD, RA and MS, the things above had made all the difference, annoyingly it's different foods for each of us, wish you luck xxx PS. The study above is also sponsored by VegFund, it may be slightly skewed towards that, who knows

    • @darthdurkelthewise320
      @darthdurkelthewise320 Před rokem

      Great points here. I’ve had Crohns for 26 years and can attest that a plant based diet even if it “works” would not necessarily be the healthiest way to go based on chemicals in plants that are present naturally and placed by man. The key is Whole Foods, pay attention to chemicals and ingredients. I eat no sugar, no starch, no seed oils, no processed food, period. I eat good grass fed proteins and practice intermittent fasting and I’m in excellent health at 51. By the way, on your point about the sponsor of this study/video…soot on and a great reason to do other research and look for info not connected to special interact. Gastro docs are not nutritionists and nutritionists are not all created equal.

My hair would fall out and I couldn't eat any fruit. If I ate a piece of fruit I would be bent over in tremendous pain for hours. I was just diagnosed with crohn's disease after years of suffering and the vegan community telling me I have fruit belly or my body was detoxing. I just feel lost because I truly believe in the vegan diet but after I stopped the diet my face completely cleared up and I can eat fruits again. So far as I've gone through the early and painful stages of crohns disease is to avoid: fried food, fatty meats, cured and processed anything with the exception of fruit preserved in its own juice, raw sources of fibre such as just eating a raw broccoli on a ranch tray, cooked vegetables seem fine. Anything corn is just called evil. For some reason suarkrout is always listed as a big no no :(. I won't miss dairy much but everything I've read says to avoid it. In other words if you cook it yourself with stereotypical wholesome ingredients that are cooked I'll probably be fine. But when I consider I work 60 hour weeks often far from home and the average ingredients list for pre made store bought foods looks like a research paper on artificial sweeteners and preservatives...... This going to be hard

    I have bought Dr. Desmond's book - looking forward to reading when it arrives. My big issue is the contradictory information out there from the medical fraternity. I have colitis but luckily for me flare ups are rare and the condition seems to be mild enough. I believe in self help and I like to research data and information from medical professionals so to avoid flare ups etc. I've got to the stage that I believe it is impossible for patients such as myself to know the best way to go in a lot of cases. If you watch this alternative MD who seems equally credible (czcams.com/video/tXmj2VN-rgk/video.html) he states the exact opposite opposite of what Dr. Desmond tells us and that we should eat more meat, fats and dairy and avoid vegetables, grains and fibre ! Now one is dead wrong and one is dead right - which one is the question? Being Irish myself, my guess ... and it is a guess is Dr. Alan maybe the more modern approach but it is so hard to know when you are confused by all the conflicting advice.

    Thank you. My 20 yr old son is currently on Aza and they want to change him to bio. Thing is they haven't done any tests on him for awhile and he's not been too bad. Now he is veggie but eats a load of cheese. We have a meeting next week and I'm not sure what to say ?

    I used to eat a high fibre, vegetarian diet, and had constant problems with gas and bloating. The diet wasn't working for me, and I was forced to experiment with other things. Surprisingly, it was a high fat animal-based diet that gave me the most relief. Now, I eat mostly meat and animal fats and have zero digestive issues. The tricky thing about the research in this video is that it's hard to separate out the people who eat animal foods but don't eat junk food as well. Most people who eat animal fat and protein also go for fast food regularly, drink soda & alcohol, and eat snacks very high in processed sugar and processed seed oils. Animal foods are very low in fiber, which I've actually found to be the best thing for my gut. I know that some research might disagree, but there is other research looking at (a healthy version of) animal based diets and seeing good results for Crohn's patients. It also worked for me, and to be honest, saved my life.
