I dont know if other viewers are familiar with Kaius, a beautiful little male gorilla who was also born to a sick mama at the Mogo Zoo in Australia. After ten months in the care of a fabulous dedicated keeper, Kaius was successfully integrated back into his gorilla family thanks to his foster mom G-Anne. Well, G-Anne is the 45 year old sister of Fredrika! Amazing mom instincts in that family!

They're also stripping the jungles for "Palm Oil". The poor gorillas in some parts of the world.. it's very sad. I like how we're breeding and maintaining Silverbacks and gorilla troops here in the states. We can't control what happens in other parts of the world, but we can make sure that we have plenty of these beautiful animals, while they are in captivity, so that the species is never in peril of going completely extinct. Same thing with elephants and Rhinos, etc... there are breeding herds here in the states so that we never lose these magnificent animals. In the wild is another story, unfortunately, since all these animals come from parts of the world we have no control over.

I'm a Creationist, however when I observe the emotion Fredericka expresses to bith Jameela and Kayembe, Im truly in awe of how my Creator placed in these large primates such emotion and care.

Thank you a million times for spreading the word on coltan in cell phones! It’s not just destroying gorilla habitat, but often the mining companies are exploiting children as young as 6 to work in these dangerous mines for pennies. It’s heartbreaking! I refuse to get a new phone until mine no longer works, then I’ll recycle the old one. We have to be aware of the drastically negative impact of our consumption of electronics on humans, gorillas, and the environment.
