So, first of all, something I noticed on Dragon's Den is that there is NO unity between the dragons, in terms of they're colleagues, they've been working together for years, and yet absolutely random people who are complete strangers are able to cause rifts between them. So weird. Arlene was not being overly disrespectful - they were over-crediting what the girl did because she was young and it was for non for profit kind of work. However, the sales weren't there, and also the girl being snarky like that WAS overly disrespectful. Sometimes I feel like a lot of the people who come on the show are well-educated maybe more than the dragons sometimes, and are SO disrespectful the dragons, I am surprised CBC even allows this kind of behaviour. I mean if they themselves don't respect the Dragons enough to make it a no-tolerance for disrespectful behaviour from the contestants, then why do they even want the Dragons as judges on the show?

Good on Arlene for trying to get that entrepreneur to understand. As Mark Cuban said on shark tank to an entrepreneur with the same attitude..."stop patting yourself on the back". Most business people have great ideas, work incredibly hard, and donate to causes. They've worked 2 jobs while trying to grow their business, slept in warehouses and given up everything...and still had huge sales. Don't walk onto these shows thinking you're the best ever, because you're not! And I respect the dragons or sharks for being honest.

I liked the electricmechanica solo pitch. That guy put Arlene in her place. She is so stuck up just because of how she was on the show in the early days. Her net worth lags behind everyone else in the den but she acts like her word reigns supreme. These are the times I wish someone like Elon Musk were on the panel for just one episode to show people like Arlene they aren't that special.
