A brief tornado in Olathe, Kansas on May 6th, 2012 on a slight risk day. There was also a confirmed tornado in Peculiar, Missouri a short time earlier. I felt fortunate to have seen this since I left a later than expected. It was unusual for me to have such a close chase! copyright- Shane Kirk

This was shot using my Nikon D90 slr camera. Unfortunately, it was hand held and the bolt startled me so there is movement. Toward the end(22sec), I say "Damn that was close"! The sound does this no justice! It was extremely loud and seemed much closer than it was.
