Imagine green color, created by God, and, therefore, beautiful to look at, is prohibited by society to pay attention to, and deemed to cause sin of lust, unless looked upon during sex with the spouse. The ban would only create an unhealthy attraction towards green color, and its exclusive association with sex, even though the color has nothing to do with sex but is a part of nature. That is what society did to the naked human appearance. When God made male and female, in the Garden they were naked and not ashamed of God. God called His creation “very good”. Adam and Eve, after sinning, had no issue staying naked with each other (they were married after all), but not with God. They made clothing to cover up from Him. God pointed out that only death can cover their sin, so He did so by sacrificing the animal. As Christians, we have our shame paid for by the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus. But even before our condition has been reconciled, humans had no issue with nakedness; neither did God. The Bible and secular history mention nakedness as a normal condition. Being without clothing used to be shameful, as it indicated lowest social status, but other than that, people were working in nude, doing sport, sleeping, and even prophesying per God’s request. What changed, and what did it lead to? Certain forces made nakedness a taboo, and have associated it with sex. Just like with a forbidden fruit, nudity became a highly desirable and valuable commodity, to a point of shameful obsession hardly anyone, even devout Christian men, can get over. What if the naked human form was a normal state (weather permitting)? That would demystify nudity, decouple sex from it, release those in chains of porn from lust, guilt, and shame, porn-proof your children, crystal-clearly showcase two genders, make you more comfortable and less restrained, and even make your marriage stronger by removing a variable no one has control over anyway - perfect body. You can start living closer to Eden by doing the following unclothed (DO NOT associate these activities with sex; relax, think of doing life, not love ;o) Sleep, study Bible, do house chores, work from home, exercise, anything else. Spend time outdoors if privacy is adequate. If you are married, do none of it until your spouse understands and lets you; don’t push it!!! If your children are under 5, it would benefit them to be spectators, and most likely they wouldn’t mind being unclothed as well. If your children are older, things may get awkward, and you may have missed the opportunity unless you are very strategic in your approach. Teens won’t commit to changing their lifestyle at this point, and will not appreciate seeing you nude, but you need to explain to them what you do when they aren’t nearby, and why you do it. Being naked socially is immensely beneficial for you, your marriage, your children, and society, but doing so might be tricky. Start by attending Korean spa; they are usually done in nude, and separated by gender. Nude beaches are often full of perverts, but going there at sunset or especially at sunrise is safe. Naturist resort or a club is what I personally recommend. It must be a family friendly one. AANR provides a map to find the closest to you. Read their rules to know what to expect. Being a Christian Naturist shouldn’t be a life changing event; it only means the things you used to do in bondage you now do as free. I always wonder if Jordan Peterson ever wonders if there's a perspective he hasn't considered yet. Other times I wonder if he ever stops wondering that himself. We are commanded to believe in God and are TOLD in His Word to confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, that we are sinners and have sinned against God, and to repent and turn from our sin, which is a continual action because we never stop being sinners in this life, and we are to believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead. And sanctification is a process, not a sudden manifestation. Or sometimes it can be sudden and miraculous at the time of conversion, but there is ALWAYS a fall some time after that, and then you have to climb that mountain because that's where the lessons are learned and the character is built. You say you believe in God at the same time you acknowledge in humility that you are not Him and no where near it but that you need Him, and you need God desperately, because there is no life outside of Him. Then you spend the rest of your life trying to learn what that means and figuring out how to achieve what it is that God wants from you. That's what it means to believe in God. And don't dwell so much on other's walks. Your life and eternity belongs to God and your journey is with Him. Don't worry about what other people are doing on their journey unless they ask for help or you see they need help, then offer it. Jordan, if that question makes you uncomfortable and you think that to say it you deserve to be struck down, then either you are NOT IN Christ, which is a place of no condemnation, or you are, and you don't realize that there is no condemnation in Christ. Read Romans. It's a tough book. You might have to read it twice.

JESUS was NOT a Christian. He was a Jew. The word "Christian" wasn't even in use until a couple of decades after Christ arose from the dead and ascended back into the heavens. Somewhere in Antioch, I believe, is where the word was first used, but I'd have to check my Bible to be certain and my eyes are not doing well today, so I will leave it to someone with better eyes and a better memory than me to make sure.

  • @elkhuntr2816

He's very conflicted and confused. The question is quite simple. Do you believe the God of the bible is real? Just look at the historical evidence for the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Its pretty clear he is real, exists and is the creator of the universe. See arguments based on scientific evidence such as the kalam cosmological argument, the argument from fine tuning, etc... Believing in God doesn't mean all your actions will follow Gods commands. But the evidence is your guilt when you fail. Not the fact that you failed. And believing that God exists doesn't get you to heaven. Even satan and all the demons believe and tremble. You have to confess your sins, and put your faith in and accept what Jesus did for you on the cross. Even then, you will still fail, over and over and over. Thats human nature and a reminder that its only because of Christ that we can be reconciled, forgiven, and reunited with God. Nothing we can do will be enough. Don't wait to get your life together before coming to Christ, come as you are.

“Paul presents faith in the context of Baptism, from which we may conclude that the sacrament is a part of faith; that it is the fusing of my life with the whole history of God’s ways with mankind, beginning with Abraham; and the fusing of my life with the praying community of the Church, with its public liturgy. In verse 17, there follows a statement that is highly significant for us: “Thanks be to God that you, having once been slaves of sin, have become obedient from the heart to the form of teaching to which you were entrusted …” (Rom 6:17).” [Joseph Ratzinger, Co-Workers of the Truth: Meditations for Every Day of the Year, ed. Irene Grassl, trans. Mary Frances McCarthy and Lothar Krauth (San Francisco: Ignatius Press, 1992), 215.] Because it is a part of an historical process initiated by God at the beginning of creation there is no faith without a community in which it developed. Its development was determined by a covenant which God made, several times, with a People He chose. It is only to the extent that that choice is internalized and followed by a life that perseveres in truth that faith, a divine gift is brought through hope to its loving conclusion, a share in the happiness which God brings to those who have sought Him because He called them.

I'm one to say that I have perhaps too much restriction in my life. A kid that my ex literally ripped out her birth control to have, and who I literally raise and care for half the week. Two jobs to pay for that kid and pay off student debts. A medical condition that I MUST exercise restraint for otherwise I'll put myself on the short path to death. I have plenty of responsibility in my life, much of it I haven't asked for, and the restraint necessary to keep it going is making me miserable. So what's the solution? Find God? I've struggled with that subject for years. I suppose the advice of find restraint, find responsibility is great for someone who lives a hedonistic live without control, but for someone who is hopelessly confined to the circumstances he's found himself in, such words are meaningless...

I still have dreams today that I can’t defend myself. It’s a trip. I still have dreams about my dad, and they’re not bad dreams it’s weird as bad as my father was to me. I still wanted him as a father my life. I still wanted my father‘s love boy screwed up in my it took me years to understand that my dad will never love me the way that I wanna love him and still hard to come to terms with, but I’ve given all my love to my family and my kids, even though I’ll never get my father’s love I give it tenfold to my family. I just have to accept that. I’ll never have a father that cares and loves me. That’s pretty goddamn hard to take, but that’s the way it is.

My parents divorce around 10 my mom just walked out. She had enough enough of the violence. My mom did come get my younger sister pretty quick, which is good. She’s should’ve never been there but me and my brother left at my dad house. Then the next year we went to concerts, I don’t know if it was my dad‘s way. I have no idea what it was about. I’ve never figured out my father, but I went to concerts when I was nine and 11 and 12 and 13 by then I was smoking weed with my dad and drop acid on the weekends, it was a lot of chaos when I was a kid. I did have a lot of fun times too though maybe my dad was trying to block my memories of what really happened a few years ago when I was 50 the night before my mom walked out. I remembered everything I remember being in bed of the hallway, mom and dad screaming, and fighting thing I see is my dad carrying my mom on his shoulders and throwing her in on the bed I saw that, and I said get your effing hands off of her, you know what he did. He came straight to my room and said. You ever talk to me like that again you’re dead yeah that was my dad and I blocked that out for 40 years.
