Just a correction. Imraan kept saying that when Allah gives to the believers it's either reward or istidraaj. But it is also, majority of the time a test. When someone has wealth this is a test just as much as someone who has nothing is tested with poverty. For this reason sulayman عليه السلام also acknowledged that his riches were a test.

`Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`as (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: We were repairing our thatchy hut when Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) passed by and asked us, “What are you doing?” We said, “The thatch had gone weak and we are repairing it.” He (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “I see the sure thing (death) approaching sooner than this.” [Abu Dawud]. Ka`b bin `Iyad (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Verily, there is a Fitnah (trial) for every nation and the trial for my nation (or Ummah) is wealth.” [At-Tirmidhi].

`Abdullah bin Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) slept on a straw mat and got up with the marks left by it on his body. Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) said, “O Messenger of Allah! Would that you make us spread out a soft bedding for you.” He (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) replied, “What have I to do with the world? I am like a rider who had sat under a tree for its shade, then went away and left it.” [At-Tirmidhi].

`Abdullah bin Mughaffal (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man came to the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) and said, “O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, I love you.” He (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Think about what you are saying.” The man repeated thrice, “I swear by Allah that I love you.” He (Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam)) said, “If you love me, you should be ready for acute poverty; because poverty comes to those who love me, faster than a flood flowing towards its destination.” [At-Tirmidhi].

I know you brothers are think you're just having a bit of fun and doing it for your own amusement when driving fast, but putting aside the obvious dangers to yourselves, I hope you're more mindful in the future. As a Muslim woman who has to drive an hour each way to work I cannot express to you how many times a speeding BMW/Merc/Audi that's tailgating me has made me nervous. I'm driving the speed limit + in the correct lane, but it just feels like they're waiting for an opportunity to unsafely overtake or undertake (and on many occasions have meaning other drivers have to brake and compensate - no you weren't as slick as you thought). 9/10 times it's usually an Asian/?Muslim brother driving which has been disappointing to see. So Abutorab please remind your brothers about the importance of being compassionate and understanding of the needs of those around you, this extends to driving etiquette, and to many is a reflection of character and adab.

O Allaah, send Your salaah (grace, honour and mercy) upon Muhammad and upon his wives and offspring, as You sent Your salaah upon Ibraaheem, and send Your blessings upon Muhammad and upon his wives and offspring, as You sent Your blessings upon the family of Ibraaheem. You are indeed Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.

Surat al mulk : it is good to read it every night before going to sleep : The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'It is the defender, it is the deliverer - it delivers from the punishment of the grave.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from Allah), Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not.” [Abu Dawud].Surat Ibrahim, verse 41: رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَلِوَٰلِدَىَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلْحِسَابُ

فَقُلْتُ ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارًۭا ١٠يُرْسِلِ ٱلسَّمَآءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًۭا ١١وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَٰلٍۢ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّـٰتٍۢ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَـٰرًۭا ١٢
