@@shadowsofheavenYou really epitomize the welcoming community of boat building. Thanks for your kind words. The boat is already built pal. It was a pain in the butt to flip the plans and try to see through the back of them. It would cost an extra dollar worth of paper for Glen to make full size plans. It’s a reasonable wish.

I'm sorry but I am VERY unsatisfied with my squirt plans. I know it's one of your smallest boats. But the patterns are very confusing. I know some patterns overlap others. But could they not have been printed with different color outlines? I mean come on. $90 for a (poorly) copied approximately 4x8 sheet of paper that would have MAYBE cost an extra buck to be printed with VERY thin colored lines? And they come folded up. You KNOW these will be folded and unfolded several times, likely before the building form is even built, eventually leading to tearing. I would have GLADLY paid an extra $10 to have them printed in color and even an extra $20 to have them rolled and shipped in a tube......like almost every other "plan" on the planet is shipped. The instructions are NOT "detailed" at all. They are very generic. Your website gives the impression that the plans are very specific to each boat and that even the most beginner of all builders will have no problem. That's not the case at all. I've built enough boats that I will have very little problems with this but I'm guessing that most people will be extremely dissatisfied with these plans. The profit margin on printing/packing/shipping a $90 set of "plans" (on one sheet of paper and throwing in a mass produced "pamphlet") that has been around for, I'm assuming, 50 years or more has got to be ASTRONOMICAL. I would expect them to have been updated, clarified and WAY more detailed after that amount of time for that price. To top it all off the print looks like it's a copy of a copy of a copy. A HUGE amount of the text is barely even legible. I don't know......I've heard nothing but good things on forum after forum and video after video about your company. But this is my first experience with you and at this point I would NOT recommend your plans to a beginner.

I have to correct one statement... "anyone can do this" ... No. Not "anyone." The patience to do this type of build requires patience (2 years), and some carpentry skills have to be in place or need to be developed along the way. Something like this demands a learning curve be both possible, and desirable. If you don't love the concept of the end of the labor enough to carry it through, it's a lost cause, and that's an expensive lost cause. Well done. Beautiful boat.
