I'm not a watchmaker, but I would have thought there was far too much braking grease used in the main spring barrel. Will this not cause unwanted friction ? Is a new mainspring not already greased also ?

Can you recommend a place for a Tudor oyster service in London or Madrid?

Wow fantastic video, Charles I have my dads 1973-74 6426 and I want to clean it for him. Also it has a stripped crown and tube would you know the size crown, tube, and extractor I would need to get? Part number maybe. Also maybe part number or the casing seal. I’m having a nightmare trying to find what replacement I would need. Also what tool did you use to remove the case, I bought a Rolex set from eBay Hedapai, but as the thread is sunk In the socket hit the case even grinding the socket down didn’t help 26.5mm ,I ended removing it using rubber but would love a better tool. Any help would be much appreciated

Although some of these Jewelers are excellent I don't know why they can't work clean it's so much better for the gold and it won't fit trying to push dirt out later handy added time to clean up just take an extra 10 seconds to do it clean

Put heat shield covering lobster claw. Will not soften spring.

Although I had doubts about buying a replica watch, gussl dispelled my doubts. The watch has an authentic look and feel.

This is stunning. Amazing work by you and the dial restorer. I actually disagree with some of the comments that kind of passively criticise you for having the dial restored. There is tasteful and pleasing patina, and then theres just ugly staining and rust. This was more on the latter side, so a restoration is perfectly justified. Great work!
