Traditional Archery in the flower feilds 🌼 Gobe Uukha//Peak to Peak // Recurve 🏹
A little bit of back yard shooting.... in the flower feilds! 😍
I know I've been away from creating content since late spring.
While I was at ETAR, this was a common topic of conversation for me with some of you, especially reguarding youtube.
'where you been nan?' 'Haven't seen a new video from you in months' etc... as many of you know, I garden by trade. Other than vegetables, I also grow flowers and my main job is building and raising flower feilds at a farm next door (Lone Oak Farm).
These flower feilds are then rented out to photographers and also have been the location of various events, weddings etc.
Early summer things were really cruising along for my growing partner and I. Some of you know her as Joni 🌼
Spring harvest was awesome. The summer vegetables even went in a couple of weeks ahead of schedule and we moved onto planting the flower feilds.
We hand planted thousands and thousands of our plugs into the feilds and we actually got it in very quickly compared to the previous two years.
...then we were hit by a drought.
Since the plants were still Itty bitty and so were their roots, we took to hand watering the feilds. Which is a huge task! It eventually rained and things were well again, until it actually didn't rain again for a long time. While I was at ETAR for a couple of days, my growing partner was in the feilds watering and trying to keep things alive... and then a miracle happened later that week, it rained!
And it rained alot! And then a few days later it rained again!
Hallelujah!
I shot this video about 2 weeks ago now. I will be back in the flower feild this week as it is now in full bloom, can't wait to share!
Anyways...
The fall deer archery season is right around the corner!!!

I received my new bow in the mail yesterday 🥳 I got a 19 inch Peak to Peak Riser and some Gobe Uukha Limbs in #45 Today, we will shoot with my 2016 Traditional Only Aluminum arrows. I have an awesome quiver being made by the guys over at Selway Archery for this bow.       @nancyliawoods glad to hear. Some old school aluminums would be sweet. I'm looking at some new limbs myself. I've been playing with a new bow (I got one of those steel ball compounds) at first i just bought it cause it was cool looking, but it's waaaay cooler than what I thought it would be.

      @@nancyliawoods You don’t need to tell me. You should have seen them before, specially in the early 90’s. They were something to behold. Back then you were able to order the riser custom with an elk tooth or knapped broadhead ! First time I shot a Zipper I fell in love with it but sadly unable to purchase one back then. Now I understand the original bowyer/ owner sold the company. The design changed somewhat but I hear it’s still a sweet shooting bow. I currently shoot Hunter’s Niche Predator Recurve. It too is a sweet bow. Remember: AIM SMALL MISS SMALL.

      Thank you so much 💓 well, I garden professionally and also for my own amusement at home, but for the past two months I have been planting and preparing flower feilds for the farm I grow for :) I am back here now and ready to start preparing for the fall archery season 🏹

    How does those Uukha's compare to those Das 3K you use to shoot?

      I will have to spend a little more time with this bow to be able to answer this thoroughly, I will say that I am just as comfortable with this bow than I was with the Timberhawk, they feel quite similar during the shot I enjoyed my Timberhawk limbs very much and, I am also enjoying these limbs aswell and don't have any negative thoughts on them

    High Nancy wow what a beautiful backyard, nature sounds are all great really relaxing. Is there unlimited area out back of you, cam one go hunting further out into the woods? Great shooting your very lucky to live there.

      Thank you my friend! I have 80 acres here around my house to hunt at and then also public land down the road, I utilize both
