Omw........I followed your Instructions.....I have never made such a beautiful underarm........thank you thank you. Amanda, from Cape Town, South Africa
Thank you sooooo very much. I’m working on a pattern and for the life of me made no sense. You helped me to understand what the designer was writing.
Thank you from Varna, Bulgaria!
Wow! This is really a great idea! I've never seen anything like this before and I hope it gets shared to more and more knitters. It's genius! Thank you for showing us how to do this.
Such a clever idea
Thank you!! Can’t wait to try this on my current project.
Brilliant, thank you from Brisbane Australia.
I've watched sooooo many tutorials for this situation and this is the best by far! THANK YOU!!
I've been knitting sweaters for 15 years and I just learned this trick today. Always something new to learn!
EXCELLENT!
This visual example was super helpful and very easy to follow along with. Thank you!
You're very welcome! I’m glad you found it helpful!!
This is an absolute game changer! Thank you!! I have never had such a good result.
I’m so glad that this helped you!! It works beautifully when casting on stitches for the front and back neck too! I use this trick every time I have to cast on stitches mid-knit to keep it tidy. ❤
Does the work the same for a 4-stitch i-cord border? I cannot find any videos or instruction for a 4-stitch
Scott, I've never done a 4 stitch before, but yes this technique would work! You will obviously just have 4 stitches you are slipping and knitting and not 3.
Excellent demo!! You really explain the procedure better than my pattern. Thanks so much!!
This is exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks, as a beginner, I was completely lost in the written pattern 🎉
Thank you so so much. I now understand but how can I get the real pattern
Thank you so much. The pattern I was following confused me. Your tutorial is fantastic. Helped me understand where I was going wrong.😊
I love this! I’ve used this on my latest project and it worked perfectly. I do have a question though. Is it possible to use this method when you’re knitting a sweater that has a pattern and isn’t just stockinette?
Absolutely you can! Simply work those extra stitches in pattern as you pick them up and then decrease them out in pattern on the very first round!
finally ..a great tutorial..cleaner and..easy to understand..thank you so much..<3
Can I brush merino wool??
Are you referring to worsted or woolen spun merino wool? Because if so then no brushing that will definitely not yield the same result. This technique works best on yarn that contains Suri or Mohair.
Worsted!
In my opinion, fair choice of tools but too much pressure applied when using the pet brush. A probably better choice of a slicker brush would be the kind that have the small plastic endings on each metal bristle. This softer ended bristles combined with a gentler technique would be better for the knit and the garment on the long run. It's just an opinion. Also, the Lowes brush seems too rough for a fine fabric like alpaca or mohair...I'd think a brush with natural bristles like boar instead of synthetic would yield better results...thanks for the ideas btw.
Great idea. You’ve done a wonderful job with the visuals and explanation. Thank you for sharing.
Very clear instructions ,thank you
My sweater (s) have a hunchback look don't know what I'm doing wrong, too many German short rows, too few? Thanks for any help
Hello! Are you having this issue with any of my designs?
Fabulous!!
Saw recommendation on grocery girls comment section. 🙋 From Nova Scotia Canada. Great tip!
Very clear and helpful, thank you.
I find this rather confusing. When you say "purl across the sleeves" it sounds as if the sleeves next to each other.
Finally a simple explanation ❤ Thank you , I'm looking forward for more🙂
Best tutorial I've watched so far on how to knit German short rows.Thank you so much
