Flow is a state of mind. and you can only maintain a state of mind for certain amount of time. You can't be 100% focused all the time. Also the zone wasnt on all the time, case and point Aomine Kagami were able to freely exit and enter the zone. everything in sports anime costs stamina and the zone/ flow state is not exempt. hence why when Isagi activated meta vision for the first time, he passed out at the end of the game
