      I forgot: I clean my chain after every other ride, or sooner if it's really dirty. And, unlike 99% of the owners in the world, I clean my chain with Easy-Off which acts quickly and works fine, easy to find and cheap. Then after a few minutes I spray with water, let it dry while driving to some location, then spray chain just before riding, cuz it's dry by then. And I often wipe chain with a rag just to see how it's doing. I bolted a milk crate to back rack. And I mostly ride mine on gravel roads, and a few trails that aren't too tough. I have to tie ropes to my Honda when parked on some dirt to keep fierce wind from knocking it over, which has happened twice during wind storms (SE Utah). I anchor the ropes to nearby fence posts. I removed the right side mirror as unnecessary. And I got it licensed for street legal because, in Utah, it's cheaper than "off-road" annual permit. Mine's the yellow 2024 model. It came with those stupid highway tires and I very soon put Shinkos on it and it does better in sand and loose gravel, though the tires are a bit narrow for a real trail bike, in my opinion. Otherwise it's a fun ride.

    The Blade configurations are Not the problem. It's the fact most makers Are CLUELESS as to the process of hardening and then proper tempering the steel. It's the biggest problem with mower blades.

      I do agree that blades are often poorly made. That said, even a sharp blade will stall your machine when it hits a root, etc. That’s the primary draw for using these.

      Start conservatively with something like a 10-10-10 twice/year (mid February and late summer) and see how it goes. For 200 plants you can also use Miracle Grow or fertilizer made for blueberries.

    • @28000mpc
      @28000mpc Před 10 dny

      One tip: wet the growing media/substrate/soil or whatever you call it first. Peat moss, pine bark etc. become hydrophobic when dry and when rinsed just from the top, it often has many dry pockets. So the best way is to SOAK it first. Also, another issue of rinse after inserting the cuttings is that part of the growth hormone can be rinsed away (which practically not an issue in probably >95% of the time, but it's a better practice to eliminate any potential adverse effect). And yes, making a small hole first before sticking the cuttings is better.

    Yep, I really wish the regular cup version had a kickstart. The older ones did, but I found out that you can totally pop started by rolling it downhill and you can also pop start the trail version as well. With the trail version you put the key in the on position and with the cub, you have to turn the switch to the on position. Make sure it’s in neutral start rolling down the hill and then when you’re rolling go from neutral the first and then it will pop start.

There’s no plastic. It’s much less likely to be damaged. If you drop it it’s got disc in the back. It’s got the snorkel, which is cool. It’s the trail had a proper gear indicator. I would’ve gotten that one.

    All right so as far as that heal shipper is concerned if your feet are too big or your shoes are too big or whatever and you have trouble resting your foot on the foot peg and you’re hitting the shifter. You can loosen the shifter and turn it counterclockwise a little bit and will change the angle of the hill to shifter, so then you can just put your foot on and you won’t hit the toe shifter one way or another but you can still of course push down on the front of it and push down on the back of it and still use it so that’s what I did on mine no need to cut the back of the hill to shifter offit’s a very simple and easy modification. All you have to do is take one off. Turn the shifter and put the bolt back in.

    • @tablerockteacompany
      @tablerockteacompany Před měsícem

      I LOVE the heel shifter (though many can't stand it) - but I use it all the time.

  • @charleshunt3806
    @charleshunt3806 Před měsícem

    So I could be wrong, but I think if you did put a front rack and you put a little front box on your hunter cub it shouldn’t mess up the weight distribution because you have a box on the back of it. In fact, I think you might have the same box that I have on my regular cub so what I found out is that it actually helped with the weight distribution because now I have some stuff in the front instead of everything in the back having said that, though my box is lower, it is underneath the headlight and when I’m just moving the bike around and it’s not running steering, it is a little bit heavier and I was worried about it being more difficult to steer when I’m riding it but it turns out in my case the opposite is actually true and it’s actually easier steer and lean over and it’s more flexible but if you put your box above the headlight, you may not get the same result, but I think it would still help with some of the weight distribution, but you certainly do not need to put a front rack or a front box on it it will ride just fine with a back. I rode my back on there for a good long while, so if you put one on, you should be OK and if you don’t put one on, you will be OK

    • @tablerockteacompany
      @tablerockteacompany Před měsícem

      I totally agree with the overall weight distribution, but what I'm not fond of is the balance on the steering (the 'localized' weight distribution so to speak) - again, probably because I didn't grow up riding, so it's not second-nature to me. I'm sure other more experienced riders have no issues with weight on front.

    That’s awesome bro! Keep doing what you do, I really appreciate videos like this, I bought my first tea camellia today and I’m super excited, I called 7 big nursery and only one had this plant, I paid 60 dollars for a 2 gallon. Hope I can one day propagate some and fill my yard with them

      @@21gonza21 you could probably get away with it this time of year in TX

    I have seen some birds build nests in the ground but never have seen a woodpecker. Just a guess but maybe it’s experienced a windstorm destroy a previous nest. Anyway, always something new at Table Rock Tea!

    Great video. I have the 2023 green and just bought the 2024 yellow (came with the oil pretty low, just like I've seen others report). One suggestion to save cleanup is to put a piece of cardboard behind the chain when you spray the chain-lube. Tires and rims are a pain to clean up from oil. Keep these videos coming!

    Animals are pretty amazing. I'll be following to see if this is common. I've only ever seen them build nests in decomposing trees.

      Same here. The stump is decomposing, but still on the ground and not in the actual stump itself.

    I'm interested in your topcase. Did the mounting bracket bolt up with all four bolts? If so what is the exact case that you bought?

    Hi there, great video! Wondering what time of year is best to take cuttings? I'm in Northern Virginia 7b and my sinensis big leaf is exploding with growth right now. Thanks!

      It was never intended to be a product review - just a 'hey, I finally got a grappling hook' video
