This a fantastic Gospel tune.

Some nice music on this classic
Did they not have cassettes back then?
This was from over 50 years ago. How is "shock lung" treated today?
The first musical selection, 'Wunderbar' has some really good bass on it, especially when played on a good (Magnavox) console stereo. Pretty good for a low-end budget label.
u fif not know there wow 8wpm record
✨💎
if he talked faster couldve recorded at 16rpm
Has it the 45 rpm hole?
I did not know there was an 8 RPM record! My parents' and grandparents' HiFi had 16 RPM.
Thank you!!
Fascinating. I too never saw an 8 RPM record. I saw a 16 RPM once but don't have a grammophone capable of playing it.
I wish the second side was available to hear......
You made my day. When I was little I never heard any of their record than the one about the ghost of the bear. I'm glad you posted this
That makes me smile all the way back to my childhood
I'm glad you enjoyed that. I posted all 6 of them. I used to take my lawn mowing money and go to Burger Chef and find out what records they had. If it was one I didn't have, I would buy a fun meal to get it.
I have three different ones of these and a Happy Birthday one as well...lol.
Well, I just got off another channel where somebody actually had a 16 rpm record player, and a record that was specifically made to be played at that speed. (It sounded like a bible verse from Revelations) Ad now I discover they made records that played at EIGHT RPM? Very interesting stuff. I should try and track these down.
Apparently this is the slowest speed for records ever. Though I still remember a dream I had when I was 12 years old (nearly 50 years ago) of a record of Chuck Berry music that played at 2 RPM.
Sounds better than most of the hear restored by experts.
Ho long it lasts?
How did you make this machine play 8 rpm records please.?
I plugged it into a Variac.
Thank you very much! I had the same problem and I fixed it with your help! You are the best
You know what's funny? Ever since I did that, it has worked fine since. Go figure. Oh well, at least the switch is there just in case. Lol
This was an early TV personality named Jack Smith. He hosted a now-forgotten show called "You Asked For It." I met him at one point in Hollywood, and mentioned that I had this demo record, and liked his song. He responded, "Oh, so YOU'RE the one who heard it!" and laughed. Nice fella who made a small impact in show business. He surely could not have even dreamed that THIS RECORD WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR THE LISTENING WORLD-WIDE IN 2022!
How does one replace the bulb that light up the #’s?
To replace the bulb, you have to unplug the power and audio plugs from the preamp to the playing unit and undo the bolts that holds the record rack down in the bottom of the cabinet and pull the whole thing out the back. Keep in mind that thing is heavy. Once you get it slid out the back, you can slowly flip the whole rack back so you can get underneath it and get to the socket that is attached to the end of the arm to replace the bulb. The bulb should have a sleeve around it so the light is only directed to the number it is behind. It would have been nice if they had come up with a way to replace it easier, but it is what it is. A pain in the rear.
Read by Microsoft David.
I once saw an 8rpm flexi disc. Since the slowest speed on a turntable (as far as I know) is 16rpm, you'd have to use a turntable with variable speed control (like a Lenco L75) in order to go below 16rpm?
I used a variac to slow it down
The squeaking door sound effect is the same one Sammy Terry used when his coffin open and closed.
Burger Chef’s laugh reminds me of Alan Hale Jr
I’ve got 3 of those different colors never used I wish I knew someone that collected things like this I’d just give them to them. I don’t think they are worth anything but the memory is what counts.
Meraviglioso!
🆒 👍👍📌
That's an adaptation of The movement "On the Trail" by Grofe, in "The Grand Canyon Suite." it was massively popular in commercials and on TV during the forties, fifties and sixties.
Man!!! I had this record. I played it so much as a kid it wore out. Wish I hadn't
Hi James, very nice work! I'm looking for the schematics of the bell 2425 and 2445. Could you help me? Thanks!
I love this kinda music I bought some like this at a thrift store. It's really good relaxing music.
Imaginative arrangement -- by Bob Florence (?) - who lot of Si's arrangements....
This record has the voice narration of Jack Wagner, former Disneyland announcer. He's well known for his famous "Remain seated please. Permanecer sentados por favor." spiel on the Matterhorn.
The 'Johnny Maddox' hit version of this medley was originally recorded by its composer, German pianist 'Crazy Otto', (hence the title) real name 'Fritz Schulz-Reichel'.
I realize this is from 9 years ago, but did you also post side 2?
How many minutes each Side ?
Wait, are those records on a CD case?
Sounds like what Disneyland plays in Main Street USA
Wish I could find this album on a digital format
Do you have side 2 saved somewhere? I sure would love to be able to hear those songs again. What great memories.
I did but they took it off due to copyright. That's why I stopped posting music. I had tons more videos to post but if I got one more copyright strike they would close my channel.
side 2 is on here all 6 tracks individually
How in the world did they get the machine to record the rotate slowly so slowly when most of us know that that doesn't exist and apparently does to some extent but how rare were these machines
These records were quite common to blind people cause it was news papers and Magazines put on these records. Due to the slow speed, it was only good for mid range sounds, like speaking. Music at that speed would have less fidelity than an AM radio. It would sound pretty bad.
Lots of subliminal messages here? Or if bad deeds were not met... thrown out of the “witches union”... Surely J Riddle Hoffa was not trying to encapsulate BC?
