Some more video of my Touran R32 V6 4motion. Just being silly, after getting everything finished (I think). I might have to let my wife drive it, so I can hear if it sounds OK. My R32 VR6 powered VW Touran, with 4motion now installed. First up is a gentle launch, with the clutch fully out before stomping on the pedal. Second go is a bit more aggressive. The engine is the R32 3.2 VR6 from an MK5 Golf R32. It has the 6 speed manual transmission and haldex 4motion 4WD system from the same car. The Touran never came with a V6 or 4motion from the factory. forums.ross-tech....

After a driveshaft issue before I got to drive it properly, I've fittted the new part, and gentle tested it, then decided I better make sure it goes OK. Not full throttle, but it goes well enough. It's running a DSG engine ECU here (CE), but I've since changed to a manual version (CD). R32 powered 1T1 Touran. Still have to fit the 4-motion.
That's awesome. The kids love it. Reminds me of asking Dad to a burnout. Lol
They were excited alright.There is 3 of them now and they're much older . They still ask me to do silly things. The oldest will have a licence in two years though 😬 Scary.

Yes, there might be slightly more work and maybe requires things like a radiator from a petrol version for the hoses to line up etc.
I’m a huge fan of VW to touran easy to upgrade, big size Just I want to ask you is it expensive to convert to that engine in one and a silly question would you be interested in selling that car with that engine?
It's not too expensive, if you do the work yourself, but it is a LOT of work. This car is in NZ. Everything is for sale, as the right price, but I don't currently have any intention to sell it.

do you had any problem during mounting rear axle and 4x4 conversion?
I had a custom alloy fuel tank, slightly modifed the subframe, and mounted it on 20mm spacers. Also removed the spare wheel well to clear the rear diff and subframe.
@@allanwilliams2299 Seems not quiet a problem. I had planning to buy Touran in the near future and do engine swap to Golf R. Is that any Golf R engine can fit into Touran or only mk5 can fit into it?

What is that device
It's Module 19, J533, the VW CANBUS Gateway. It controls the canbus networks within the car - it's a factory part.
How did you work around getting the immobilizer programmed?
It's Immo 4A, not 4C, so a little easier. I used to EEPROM reader to get the file from the ECU and read the SKC from the file. I then used VCDS to program the keys. I have a Golf instrument cluster in the Touran housing. The Touran cluster can't read the second fuel sender for the 4wd, so it had to be a golf one.

I did most of the work myself. The cost was all the parts. Its perfectly legal here in NZ and has LVVTA Certification for road use.

@@michalkowalik89 Yes. The Touran is the same platform as the MK5 Golf, just longer wheelbase and no space in the back for the 4motion without mods.
Did you change the petrol tank to make way for the drive shaft? If yes, are the seats still folding as normal or you sacrificed the functioning of the middle seats.
I have a 2006 vw touran 2.0fsi and would like to do the same to it what advise would you give me. I was thinking of sourcing parts from a tiguan 4motion like the transmission and the differential, but I'm not sure which subframes would fit with less modifications.

@@kellilovski MK5 yes - same electronics format. The driveshaft has to be lengthened 100mm, the rear subframe needs a couple of modifications, and be spaced down 20mm to clear the floor. Build thread: forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?1649-NZ-Touran-wants-an-R32-engine

@@kellilovski I was still driving it as my only car for much of the time, so it was only 1 year I had it off the road to do the hard parts. Most of the time was planning and preparing :-)

Mecánicamente, el motor se atornilla pero hay mucho cableado por hacer. El 4motion es mucho más complicado. Necesitas un R32 Golf como donante, porque si quieres el 4motion, tienes que cambiar el ABS, el motor ecu, el cableado para la bomba de combustible ECU Haldex, el bastidor auxiliar trasero, cortar el soporte del neumático de repuesto, instalar el eje trasero y hacer algo codificación. What horsepower of this.VW Touran is a nice car.And with this engine I think it will go fast.
Hi, It's just the standard R32 250 hp - 184kw. It'll go a bt better than the 2.0 did! The 3.2 has a good torque spread.
