An opened FERRY / TRAIN CROSSING must be ended by the recording equipment when any of the following options occurs: - the driver manually ends the FERRY/TRAIN CROSSING, which shall occur upon arrival to destination of the ferry/train, before driving off the ferry/train, - an ‘OUT OF SCOPE’ condition is opened, - the driver ejects his card, - driver activity is computed as DRIVING during a calendar minute in accordance with point 3.4. Hello, A company card “lock in” should be done before the vehicle is put into use by the company. This ensures that from the point of time the company card was locked in anyone with that company card will have access to the data on that tachograph from the date of lock into the date of lock out. The company card should be locked out when being sold. This lock-out should be carried out after the last Vehicle unit download. It would be important to see if the vehicle/s are locked into another company card currently. This will determine what we would suggest you do going forward.

Hi Pete, The company card identifies the transport undertaking and allows for the displaying, downloading, and printing of the data, stored in the tachograph, which has been locked by that transport undertaking. Transport undertakings must use their company card to “lock in” their details to the digital tachograph in the vehicle before that vehicle is put into service. To ensure the successful download of Vehicle Unit Data from the point of "Lock-In" Transport undertakings should use their company card to "lockout" their details on the digital tachograph after carrying out the last vehicle unit download before the the vehicle is taken out of service by that Transport Undertaking.
