In the version that uktv (dave/yesterday) shows this has been cut So just after James walks like a puppet the whole sequence is edited out and they just go straight to the challenge
Never fails to make me laugh no matter how many times I watch this original version of the scene. Love how Clarkson and Hammond absolutely take off and James is still waiting for his electronic boot to shut. Plus the puppet walk Janes does is superb. This scene is up there with the likes of Del Boy falling through the bar. Back when your TV licence was put to good use.
@@a-simpler-time, I actually like the redubbed version, but mostly because it pays homage to the original theme. I just hope that the Ambulance challenge is available on DVD, as the US received Series 22 on DVD, while the UK received most of the Top Gear series, plus a couple of compilations too.
Yeah um...the UN has failed peacekeeping multiple times now and any time they were forced into conflict (once or twice) they decided to metaphorically shoot their troops in the foot
@@sumvs5992 are you referring to the events depicted in the film “no mans land”? It was a heartbreaking yet MUST WATCH masterpiece. I would like to see the film UN Me, but no streaming service will offer it
David Moyle necropost reply, but all of the original series is on amazon prime. I just discovered this myself, currently binge watching each and every one
The cut from the Thunderbirds March to the Fireflash Landing is utterly jarring.
Jeremy is Thunderbird 1 due to his Sppeeedddd, Hammond is thunderbird 2, and May is Thunderbird 3
The plants had me laughing the hardest
0:53 can’t help but laugh at Hammonds face 😂😂
0:26 I sometimes walk like a puppet.
0:26😂😂😂😂😂
Love this!!! Had to come back and watch it again!!

So much better than the BBC America version
0:22 - Thunderbirds Are Go! an Inspector Calls!
LMFAO! the fact that Hammond slides down a mile plus long pole is too fucking funny. As well as Jame's waiting for his power tailgate to close.
If ANYONE other than James did the puppet walk it wouldn't have been as funny...
"What a remarkable printer" because it came out in an envelope. James is hilarious
My all time favourite Top Gear episode 😆
One of their best-ever moments! It has a slightly low-budget look to it, but I feel like that's intentional.
Quite, and it's better for it
Top gear is go
Yeah i love that he walked like a puppet i think that was my favorite part. top gear is f*cking amazing i love all the references they make.
To quote Jeremy from a long time ago: *Thunderberks Are Go!*
Hammond and Jeremy: **go though some si-fi stuff to get to their ambulances** James: **walks like a marionet and waits**
The dedication to this is good
Picking up ill people and taking them to hospital _...in your community_
There will never be a show like this again. Top Gear was the last hoorah in terrestrial television.
This is it. International rescue has summoned thunderbirds are go
This made me so happy
Gerry Anderson... is having a chuckle!
Better CGI than all the Spy kids movies as well as shark boy and lava girl
This scene was removed on Dave or Streaming due to copyright
It's on the version available on Stan
They only keep James walking intact

Star Trek red alert siren too. Ace.
James here acting like a Super-marionette
Most versions don’t have this because the series is currently owned by ITV plc. Understandably.
Does anyone know where this version can be found, currently?
The scene's kept in, they've just redubbed it with an off-brand version of the theme
@@danielfotheringhamproducti7368 it's on Netflix with different music

iPlayer has this scene with this music
Omg so funny.
Captain slow just waits for the rear tailgate to lift up 😂😂😂
The world needs a real-life international rescue. As ridiculous as it sounds.
Doesn't sound ridiculous at all
Someday it will be there...
This aged well

By far James May is the best of the three presenters. His wit never fails to amuse me
I love the original Thunderbirds series, did have a few on VHS and believe a few are still in the house somewhere.

@@Thisguydoesstuff grandad used to put it on when I got home from school. We loved watching it together.
Same here too
Now I kinda wanna watcj a thunderbirds episode 😅
Why James May walk like that?
It's how the puppets walked in the tv show Thunderbirds (which is what they're referencing)
@@Josh_Roberts no, it's how people *mistakenly* remember the puppets moving. They never walked like that.
That is a proper respectable Thunderbirds reference.
Iv seen both the new version aswell as the old and although the new one is good I much prefer the original series.
I agree the original was much better but both are good
@@mrpugtato386The new one for me rather lacks the 'tension' the rescues in the original had.
the world will never be the same when james passes on :(
I love when he opens the doors
thunderstigs are go
james walking like a puppet made me laugh so hard
It took my slow ass a while to figure out what that was all about.
He's had his hips done since...
Yeah, that was aGREAT touch!
I came here specifically looking for that scene 😂
@@dd11111 can you find this on bbc iplayer
I'd have died if they'd actually made a puppet of James May.
Oh my god yes that would have been genius
And no one could tell the difference.
