We wouldn't be ready. What is the best we got? I will tell you. The International Space Station, which is nothing more than a overly glorified ?Triple-wide? trailer. And there is a plan to put another one in orbit around the Moon. What if we have to leave? Everyone would be shit out of luck. There is nowhere to go and no way to get there for Eighty people. For the population of this Planet at Eight plus Billion, I can say only one thing. You are stuck here and you don't have a choice. The first step would be to start a Moon and a Mars Colony. Then an Asteroid-mining Company has to be built with the capability of capturing them as well. Nasa has how many years until the Valentine Asteroid is supposed to get here? Then from the new Lunarians and Martians The next step is to set out for new places in the Solar System here. Slowly working our ways out to Deep Space Stations around the Gas Giants, Pluto and the Oort Cloud as well. NASA has been promising us the Stars since the Fifties. If they want to keep scaring us with reports on possible Asteroid hits, then have to start on the only solution possible. Give us the option to leave the Planet. It is time for our "Space" Administration starts living up to it s name. It is time for them to put up or shut up to be defunded and shut down. And the Billionaire "Space" Programs, they aren't any better than NASA. A all they do is orbit the Planet and land, this is just a leisurely walk around the block.
