I was always taught that the devil can take whatever form they choose. Young, old, male, female. Probably even can appear as a three-headed purple elephant. So I don't see an issue with the Devil taking on a female form. I notice Morpheous also can change the way he chooses to appear

I discovered your series only recently, so I am just now catching up. I believe you made the right choice to preview the entire season first and then do a wrap up over all. Only in hindsight do many of the themes, trends, and use of foreshadowing reveal themselves, so it makes for a much more insightful analysis. Thank you and I look forward to more episodes in the future.

I came from your Reddit post... As a huge Sanderson fan and mother of a Deaf two-year old, this was really fun to watch. Hope you make many more videos!

I like that he wakes up the driver at the end, letting the audience connect to the story and feel it from our own experience.

This reminds me when my teacher told me about the Griffon and Sabina books by Nick Bantock, the art making up the books was such an experience.

I continue to appreciate your videos. As always, you should cover what you want to cover in whatever manner you wish! As part of your audience who doesn't know any signed language, however, I will express my curiousity for what you think about the show's attempt to bring Maiden handtalk to the screen. RJ isn't Tolkein (not as interested in developing fictional languages), a book seems like a poor medium for communicating a signed language, and I seem to recall that even in universe Maiden handtalk was only said to approach rather than actually be a true signed language. Clearly the show is having to create a lot and the actors are having to develop new capabilities in order to bring this aspect of RJ's world-building to the screen. I found this episode's behind-the-scenes footage on this front interesting. I hope the show continues featuring and expanding upon this element in s3.

I don't think the flicker flicker or Mat's memories were replaced with the tea, the portal stone real does link to alternate worlds, and Mat's memories were real memories of past visitors to finnland. But the tea only seemed to show Mat his imagined fears and worries coming true. More like a hallucinogenic drug

I thought the show set Atuan mill to be very close to Falme already, so the Aiel were close to Atuan mill, Avi got captured by WC, maybe Bain and Chiad left her because they had to look after the injured Jolien, trusting Avi to escape on her own (this is the biggest plothole for me actually, why didn't Bain or Chiad free Avi instead?

I can tell you how Liandrin lied. She did, in fact, never mentioned Mat. Not even once. So what she says, is technically true. She implies she's talking about the original letters. What she's leaving out is that her read of the letters wasn't faithful (or she probably already removed the mentions before reading them).

So on the arches - i also liked the change. By making it last longer and see people act on it, they made it more impactful. Now i cant speak ASL and I'm not sure how precise the subtitles were here, so I'm not sure if i understand you completely there. So I'd like to point out that the books were even more similar, there she also had to channel herself out and they did think her to be lost (but for minutes, not half a day, and they didnt give up hope nor left the arches).

Actually, Moiraine clashed with Lan around the same lines in books 2-3. Remember chapter 22, when she tells him what she did, then all the time she's trying to exclude him from missions in book 3? I'm trying to be non-spoilery here.

I think they're very intentional about not bringing up what happened to Loial. Or some other covid-affected events. That's not what they intended, so it doesn't exist not really (they got stabbed because they couldnt use extras snd the scene needed tension). Bringing it up is just throwing goid money after bad. Alsi, the six months jump makes sense from a storytelling PoV. And in that context, that would absolutely not the focus of the characters anymore. They rode thousands of miles and had who knows how many adventures.

I liked Verin's introduction. Based on the scene (and how she is introduced), she's shown as someone interesting at least. Her showing up where she is makes sense. We did get the idea that she was an Aes Sedai. I think people will remember her and follow her with some interest. And you know how she would feel about the spotlight being on her.

CRIMINALLY underrated omg

In the show's defense, Selene had just pronounced herself as also being a monster and started doing something mystical that Rand could observe (perhaps Lanfear was adding or dropping a Mask of Mirrors - we can see Rand's eyes tracking the warping around Selene because he asks "What's happening?". Rand can see the EFFECTS of OP-female-half channelling, and TP channeling's distortions are also visible in the books). Everything Moiraine says to him consists of very direct statements, and the two had finally bonded in s1e8. I agree it's fast, and Rand would have been in a state of shock, but I don't think it's excessively problematic for the purposes of a tv show.

Enjoying your videos. Bayle Domon explains in e1 that the poem (dark prophecy) was written in blood on the moondial near Cairhien. (Wording may be open to interpretation, but I believe he also says the writing was found at the same time people discovered the moondial/cuendillar had been broken.) Bayle Domon has a copy of the entirety of the poem - that written parchment copy is what Moiraine buys (e1), Lan takes (e2), and Alanna and her Warders pilfer from Lan's bags (e4).

That was great, thank you. I watched part of it yesterday but had to come back today when the close captions were available as alas I don't understand sign language. Also am from Australia so I suspect there would be language differences even if i did sign. Very jealous of letter opener Nightblood! :D

I wish I knew ASL- it makes me proud that the Wheel of Time community is big on accessibility, and tons of creators are trying to turn on CC and add Alt text in all their posts. Good luck, and I hope you get a lot of views.
