This video follows a group of runners over the weekend of The Canyons 100k, The Canyons 50k, and The Canyons 25k. I ran the 25k race and then joined the crew after I finished. My goal was to document the 100k race as best I could with both video and photos. The two runners in the video racing the 100k are Anthony Lee and Justin Snair. Where can I get some of that “get FKT” merch?
What a great video! And yes to pineapple on pizza and … wow… what a fancy coffee maker!! And was that a berky water filter? His podcast with “Chasing Trails” was sooo good!!!! Glad I found your channel!!!
From what I’ve heard over and over, don’t ask them how they are feeling. Ask them what they need. 🤷🏼♀️
So true!!
Yeah: Pineapple on pizza. Always. 🍕
Right! The haters don't know what they're missin
Is this a spoof??
It's whatever you want it to be!
Pineapple on pizza 🍕, 💯! Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing my day in video form Dylan! So stoked with how it turned out!
Where's my fellow pineapple on pizza people at?
The documentary is always interesting abt trail running but the camera 🎥 always shaking 🙈 and so many random noises on the background when someone is talking .. it’s very hard to watch
We've since upgraded our equipment and increased our production quality to address these issues! We would love if you checked out the newest video
I love these ultramarathon documentaries - great job on the video and awsome job Reid - i just recently discoverd how few people under the age of 30 finish those races, so there´s a big future ahead of you, wishing you all the best for your future races! 🙌
Sweet video. I was out there myself this year and loved seeing yall for the 5 seconds I did while you were on the way back in and I was on the way out haha. So fun to be out there with such great people! You will crush it this next year!! Keep up the work Reid. Rooting for you.
Amazing footage. Very well done and it was so fun to watch.
Thanks so much!!
Really nicely done Dylan, thanks for posting this doc. I met Reid once at a trail run in eastern Canada
Awesome!
Go 🇨🇦 Great job out there!
Cheering for you from NB! Way to go!

We're only dropping 🔥 in 2024
Amazing performance and even more amazing video! Kudos Dylan and Reid!
We couldn't have done it without your help, Alexi!
Hi, I appreciated the video that you did. I am interested in running the 25K portion of this race, but I have never formally entered/run a trail race. I have run a number of marathons (ie Boston 7x, NY, Chicago, Berlin and a few others) with my time ranging from 3:10-3:20. I wanted to get a sense from you whether this trail race is do-able given my limited trail running. Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you Walter
Hi Walter! I would say that even someone with limited experience in trail running would be able to complete the 25k distance at Canyons. With your race experience, it seems you have more than enough aerobic fitness to run for the average time period it takes to finish. The race did contain a handful of large climbs and the entire race had 3,000 ft of gain overall so I think being prepared for that would be the most important thing. Having some practice on trails going into the race would be helpful, but not entirely necessary as the 25k section the race is on was mostly non-technical, with only a few sections that required more attention to foot placement. So, the short answer is yes! I do think you can finish it!
@@dylan_tanner thank you for this information. I will definitely register for this 25k trail distance. Given where I live in Toronto any meaningful trails climbs is non existent but I have time to plan and train. Thank you.
@@walterhenry8828 Look forward to seeing you there. You'll be beyond fine. Treadmill inclines or Stair stepper climbs work just fine. I am training in Chicago so have similar vert climb challenges and your marathon times are in line with my half marathon times these days. Oh and you should also practice fast hiking too. that will come in handy on the climbs and isn't typically practiced by super fast road runners such as yourself.
@@ericandbeethoven Just show your message. Thank you and good luck out there today.
