NOTICE TO Sweetwater Lifestyles: You might want to learn how to PROPERLY tie off a line to a cleat. You had the correct idea but the extra wrap was not needed and your final "tie-off" was not correct.
Sorry for this rookie question, but why is the anchor line both chain and rope? I thought anchor lines are normally all chain for its superior durability over rope. If you are going to have it part chain and part rope, might as well just go all rope, right?
Three Stranded Nylon Rope has some stretch so it will cut down on any "jerking" if all chain. The reason for chain is it's heavy so the anchor will pull from lower angle and set & hold better. General rule is 6 ft. of chain for every 25 ft. od depth and you also MUST have the correct size for both the vessel and the windless.

When retrieving anchor, you mean to say add slack. Reduce tension. Right?

It's a rip off you can't go on a boat every day you have to reserve it and sometimes 2 weeks out
After the initial fee we’ll be paying just over $300 a month. Way cheaper that owing and maintaining a boat. I know I spend $300 a month on worthless crap why not apply it to this

Your video editing skills are amazing! I have a Robalo R222 and upgrading now to hopefully the R272 as long as my 1500 ram can tow it without issues. Glad I came across you channel though and definitely make more videos!

You always want bow into the wind... Like whaaaat? If you take stern into the wind all you have to do is reverse boat into the peer , wind will hold boat pararel with the peer as you slowly close up, and when you are close enough you just have to tie back of the boat to the peer and you are docked wind will hold boat against the peer, to no rush to tie bow. You newer take bow into the wind, becouse wind will always push bow away from the peer...
Whatever end is into the wind will want to push off the pier, so if you go bow in, you should tie a bow line first. I would go bow in for this approach as you lose some steering ability whilst moving astern.
@@mcTREXmcTheAmazing No, just no. Stern into the wind, you don't get pushed off the peer , bow into the wind you get pushed off the peer... If you do come with wind into the bow, you tie your boat with middle line not bow, becouse when wind give tention to the rope, it will pull bow to the peer, and stern will go off the peer... With stern into the wind, that will not happen...
@@deanbilan7439 If you use a head line, the whole boat will be kept against the pier by the wind. Problem solved

@@deanbilan7439 I would look forward to seeing that! The general public would benefit from watching a 25 foot speed boat, but why not both? Speed boats and yachts are quite different. What boating experience do you have?

What happens when there are too many members?
They told me they buy more boats as more members join to keep the ratios the same but I'm not a member (shopping) so don't know for sure myself what the ratio is.
What you are doing in the video is illegal by pursuing the Dolphins. Please become educated regarding marine mammal laws.
