Jazzysaint Crappie Fishing

BACK HOME IN ILLINOIS
I'm clear water casting 25-35 ft out to prevent spooking the fish. When my Jazzysaint Handties aren’t working, we have to figure out what is working. Today that’s gonna be what I traditionally use for this lake, the “Curly Tail Grub.” Finding schools on rocky banks and brush piles.

Boat Flippin' Slabs In March
zhlédnutí 807Před 3 měsíci
You know we love crappie fishing so we’re in east Texas for March prespawn/early spawn flippin’ slabs in the boat. While most crappie fishermen have gone shallow to get them off the beds, we’re sticking around the 15-20ft range plucking the ones off the trees that have either already spawned or waiting to go into the shallows and do their spawning thing. Let’s go get some and ya’ll can help me ...

Great video brother!
Thanks bro, glad you liked it. Stay tuned for more vids
How do you have transducer mounted? Thanks!
Hey bro, glad you asked. I’m using whats call the cable mount setup by "Cornfield Fishing Gear.” This is the 1st video I done with that transducer method. Before that I was using the “Livesweep” in all the other videos also by “Cornfield Fishing Gear.” Mark Ridl is the owner and a great guy. You’ll definitely wanna check him out if you’re looking for anything for mounts, livescope etc.
Correction bro, I that you were looking at my latest video “Back Home In Illinois” where I used the cable mount method. The video you were asking about, I was still using my “livesweep” and that uses a key fob remote or foot pedal to rotate my transducer which is mounted on the shaft of the trolling motor but on it’s own independent shaft so it’s not bound by having to look the same direction the trolling motor is pointing. Hope that was a better explanation and wasn’t too confusing.
Well holy crap ! Get em on that there Apple Canyon lake boy ! I have a lake house on it and was there for the 4th .
Thanks Natedogg7526, just out there having fun. Keep watching bro and don’t forget to share and keep the comments coming. I love the feedback.
As a fisherman myself, I love seeing that hookset and the rod bend.

Yo Doc it’s great to hear from you. You’re one of my Crappie content heroes. Even got my wife watching and loving your videos. I got your email and believe me, I will make it a point to call you when I get down that way. In the mean time, keep doin what you’re doin bro. You’re a true inspiration. Most of all thank you so much for the sub. I am always open to constructive criticism from you so if you see something that could help, don’t hesitate.
My gosh. Those are toads compared to what we catch in Missouri
Yea Carson they are definitely toads. I’m from Illinois but spend winters down here in Texas just so I can catch them. Don’t get me wrong I can catchem that size up north in ILL also but nowhere near the numbers as down here. Keep watching bro. We’re gonna have some great content coming out in the near future
@@JeffreyHughes37152 keep up the great work. I love all the camera angles and your love for fishing. Great video👍
@@JeffreyHughes37152 yeah I loved the video. Great angles. Keep up the great work👍
Hey cuzz, your videos are coming up. I will have to secure a seat on your rig.
Sounds good
Hi cuz Jeff. Just saw your latest fishing video. It looks so peaceful out on the water in the AM. Don't know how much fish I would catch because I would be chillin but you make it look easy. Took me awhile to figure out your Radar picture. You really enjoy fishing, I can tell. Keep the videos coming and make a Funny Blooper video one day, ok!
Oh you better believe I already got plenty clips for a blooper real lol. But I'm glad you enjoyed it
Looks like your rod is super long, what size do normally fish with?
Hey Breakinjaws..that time i was using a 12 ft Falcon rod but Ive been experimenting lately with a 16 ft Savage from 3 pound Fishing. It still feels a little heavy for my shoulder that I’m still rehabbing from a torn rotator cuff but i do love it.
Aight playa, nice edits! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks 💯 CJH, I’m still a work in progress but it’s gettin better
Do you use your solix for live and whats your settings for crappie on it
Hey TheChodsr I pretty much use my solix for side & down imaging, but mostly for mapping. Humminbird has pretty good Lakemaster maps
Wow🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍💚
Ok then
Love the boat flip. I can’t wait until the water is right up north
Lol thanks so much Miles Mcshane. As you can see, I need alot of practice flipping those slabs in the boat
I have livescope also hopefully some day we could meet and you can show me how you get yours to look so good. It almost look like the store simulations. NICE!!!
Sounds good! Hit me up when I get back in the 815 area and lets get together
Are those Jazzysaint Handtie jigs available to the public it seems like the crappie love e'm.
I’m sorry mg9yb3fu8b, as of right now my handtie jigs are not available to the public. I only tie them for a hobby (a very productive hobby I might add lol). Perhaps in the near future we can get enough inventory to make them available to everyone. Stay tuned...
Catch em all unk
Maybe not all of them neph but we gettin our share of slabs
Gotcha
Yessir
I'm subscribed Bro. Looking forward to seeing your next video. What a heartbreaking thing to happen when you're Smokin' Um like that.
Thanks for the sub Bolo. We’ll have another video coming out soon
