My personal fishing and hunting experiences. I fish quite often and decided to record my experiences to share the great outdoors! I fish mainly on the gulf coast area! All salt water fishing. Final hunt of the season! One short of limit!

Went out on the last Saturday before the 23/24 season ends. There ended up being 53 groups and I was 24th pick. Got a decent spot I have hunted before. Definitely produced a lot better today. I almost had my limit for my final hunt but I’m happy with the five I did get! I hope y’all enjoy the videos for this season. Time for some fishing soon. Thanks for watching!!!

Did a hunt with another CZcamsr hunter from around the same area. Saw plenty of ducks just couldn’t get them to decoy in or even come close for the most part. Either I managed a scalp. Good hunting with you Nate! Till next season buddy!

This was a pretty cold morning at around 32 at its lowest. Windy was howling and directing in my face! Had the opportunity to kill more than I got but I couldn’t shoot for crap on this crazy windy day. All good it’s how it goes sometimes. Hope y’all enjoy. Thanks

I had a solo hunter join me today on my Justin hurst hunt. Younger guy who I see out there all the time. Meet him earlier in the season. We got a decent pick and choose a mottled duck location. I got invited by my buddy J once again to join him on a duck hunt at his Native lakes lease. We got these plenty early but setup took us a lil longer than we expected due to some downed trees in the way trying to get back to the spot. So this was my first hunt of the 2024 new year! It was very slow morning. Had a few birds in the decoys very early morning and that about it. Saw several hundred geese but nothing close to shoot at. We got a real late start with everything setup about an hour after shooting light. We saw lots of birds early with only one good group decoying in. Has some singles here and there but not too many. I also took a dunk chasing this damn bird down when I should have just used another shell to finish it off. It was so close I didn’t want to ruin the bird itself. Never again! lol I had to under down...

Went hunting today Dec. 23 2023 at Justin hurst once again! Had a great hunt even though the bird were not moving much. Was able to get my limit by 10:30 and head home! Hope y’all enjoy the video! Thank you!

Took my youngest daughter duck hunting this morning for the first time after her asking many times to go. Definitely was a chilly morning at 48 degrees. As of March 26, 2024, the daily bag limit for speckled trout, also known as spotted seatrout, in Texas is three fish per angler. The minimum size is 15 inches and the maximum is 20 inches, but anglers can keep one trout over 30 inches per day as part of their limit. YOU SHOULD HAVE RELEASED THAT 25" FISH BRO !!!

Looks like a good time. I went out like 7 times this season. Couldn’t hit anything. Shot a box of ammo though. My first real season. I’m pretty decent at clays. Didn’t think shooting would be my problem. Now I’m stuck dreaming for 9 more months.

I picked up some of your hulls on Tuesday the 23rd. Rio Blue Steel 3" 4s. I got 1 Goldeneye and a couple shovelers, was really slow.

It’s only leased out to a hand full of people per year. Usually family/close friends. I will ask if he is interested in adding new clients new season.
Great video man.. way to show the reality of duck hunting. There’s so many funny things that happen, especially if you can catch your boy on camera after sitting down in an ant pile after they invaded his waders in a rainstorm.

Yeah this particular spot has a pretty large water area and coots love this pond. Ducks seem to love to hang with the coots.

I did swat it. Just didn’t put that part in the video and it still kept going. It was so close I was afraid to ruin the entire bird. Lesson learned though. I’ll never chase another.
What size choke you run?
Not exactly sure what size this one is but it’s the RR3 from rob roberts for geese and open water ducks.

I always end up choosing something with no cover
I take palms with me just in case I get a spot with little or no cover. That #4 has plenty on cover on the east side water.

That all depends on the location you pick. The walk could vary from .25 of mile to 2 mile walk.

@@gsjoutdoors The most common types found in our country and in one state in particular chaffinch 100% and bee eater hunting 30% birds and 100% skylarks birds and blackcaps , quail 5% dove pigeon and starling 10%
