      As someone who's growing up, it's actually as fun as I thought it would be. The first stages are terrible and I suffered a lot during middle school and the first half of high school, but that's just because I got left behind. The moment I started doing things right and understanding more about life, I started having more and more fun. Today, my life is more fun than what it used to be when I were a child. It's not about when, it's about how. Grown ups can live life like an adventure too.

    Unnecessary talks are two too much. You have forgotten what the viewers really wanted. They wanted a list of habits and why they does not worth it. I thought there will be more not useful habits like taking cold shower and thier reasons. Cuz taking shower is not necessary for everyday. And in winter time it may cause serious health hazard and not every body type cannot tolerate cold shower. Also should be careful before using bad language

    • @Pablo.calabrese
      @Pablo.calabrese Před 2 měsíci

      Nah, it's not unnecessary talk, the entire message of the video is that there's no specific habit that's necessarily good or bad, it all depends on how you approach them. If you wanted a list of overrated habits, this just wasn't the right video for you.

    That’s an awesome video, probably the best one of yours, but I want to share with you my experience and my relationship with habits from the beginning until now. I started my journey back in november 2022 thankfully and gratefully not alone and supported by one of my friends, who introduced me to this whole new thing. I’d been lying if I say that improving in general was my main aim at first; truth is I joined him in self-improvement beacause he was the only one i could relate with in that period and I trusted him in the beginning. He showed me how to meditate, how to gratitude journal and so on and it was fantastic; my bad habits were slowly going away and I felt great, fitter and more social than ever before. In summer 2023 I reached my peak. My life in general was at its best, my habit tracker was always checked (i knew streaks were bullshit as you do), i felt healthier, more confident and this is the point where everything became more serious to me. It was all my responsability and my sense of accomplishment mixed with my friend’s support and self-improvement’s youtubers knowledge and wisdom. When 2023/2024 school year began, I wasn’t prepared at all for the shock; I couldn’t physically and mentally keep up with my old, perfect beautiful routine with the reality of school. I was profoundly obsessed with habits and I progressively lost the meaning behind them, up until my friend brought me to the realization that the summer 2023 version of me was “”dead”” in the past, and I needed to find a new way of approaching things. My actual habit tracker is “not as good” as it used to be but I improved new aspects of my life, for istance my relationship with my family. Long story short I believe that some sort of script, plan, or protocol is essential in the first years of self-improvement, as it’s the foundation of your own personal development, in which you have to select as you said the “building” habits for your goal or purpose. On the other hand, however, I have to say something about cutting off some least important habits according to the purpose itself as they represent “ a waste of time”. Of couse 80% of your energy should be aligned with your goal but you have to consider that the other 20% is somehow going to develop you and the goal itself. Let’s say (as in my case) your aim is to build and aesthetic physique and you are reaserching, studying everything about the best and optimal diet, the perfect workout for muscle hypertrophy and let’s say you are also into reading David Goggins, Jordan Peterson or Self-improvement books in gerenal. These kind of books have approximately nothing to do with science based knowledge regarding fitness and bodybuilding, but they will imrpove your intellectual brain, your intelligence your focus, which rapresent a “return on investiment” in your goal. Improving other areas of your life, even if not related to your “main quest” will inevitably serve you in building an aesthetic body, and this concept works for every goal you choose (this obviously doesn’t mean that you have to pursue every single habit you can think of, as you said well in the video). I truly liked your video and I found it very valuable and entertaining Hope this helps.

      @Pablo.calabrese Před 2 měsíci

      Damn. Loved reading this, what a ride. First, thank you for opening up so much in a comment section, stories like this one can be difficult to tell but can really change lives if read by the right people. I insanely felt you when you said you had to adapt to school and let your summer self die because you couldn't keep up with the routines. That's exactly what happened to me. I got into self improvement in august and I was so determined that in a matter of days, my habit tracker was full of whatever you can think of, especially training stuff. And when school was about to start, I had become such a workaholic that I couldn't even sleep at night sometimes. And then boom, school. I could do nothing. It was like I had a factory reset. It's in times like these that you really have to adapt and evolve, modify your script or create an entirely new one. Following a script is ok as long as you have nothing you really want at the moment and are just overall lost, but when a factory reset moment hits and you have to start over, the experience with the previous scripts helps you create your own. It's like coming up with a workout plan. At the start you have to ask someone for it, but the more months you spend training, the more you understand what your muscles need to grow, and without even realizing, you end up changing the workout plan they gave you completely to fit your needs. It took me about 3 factory resets to develop my own way of improving, and it's not even finished. As for the 80/20 rule, I believe that, broadly speaking, anything you spend energy and a considerable amount of time on should have an end goal it's supposed to take you to. If you have side quests along with your main quest, it can be alright as long as you can manage it. But whatever the case, habits have to be aligned to a quest. It's not only about actually having a reason to do them, it's also because anay habit is 10x as powerful if you know what you want to get out of them. I read part of "the way of the superior man" and it was a fun hobby, but now, I don't remember anything of what I read because I would just absorb the content and that was it. Now I'm reading a book called "like, comment, share, buy" (yeah, it's about youtube) and since I have that 1000 subscribers goal I want to get out of it, I'm elaborating the content in my head so much more, and I'm learning much better. Again, thanks for the comment man. It was a great occasion to exchange some opinions. Keep on improving man. STAY HARD!

    The reason you feel that emptiness when you stop playing is because it doesn't link back to real life success. But if you make gaming your career, you can reach a point to where you do feel happy and you don't feel that emptiness. So don't just say "quit video games forever". As you said, life isn't that simple. So don't generalize like that.

    • @Pablo.calabrese
      @Pablo.calabrese Před 3 měsíci

      If you want to use videogames as a tool to make a living that's a whole different story. You're creating that real life success. You're doing that by playing videogames, but it's still a career. The people I'm telling to quit videogames forever are the guys, as I was, who play video games just "for fun", with no intention to make a career out of it, who have other dreams and ambitions for life, but can't get them and cope by playing 4 hours of Persona 5 a day. Those guys need to get that real life success, but can't because videogames are stopping them for the reasons I mentioned in the video. If you want to make a career out of gaming, by all means go ahead, I wish you the best luck. But never use games to cope.

    • @user-ln6xg9ju8l
      @user-ln6xg9ju8l Před 3 měsíci

      @@Pablo.calabrese Even if it's not to make a living, videos games are fine as long as it's not, as you said, a way "to cope" or is done excessively/unhealthily. You can play videos games as a hobby healthily. You just need to play the right amount with the right mindset and shouldn't let it affect the rest of your life negatively. For example, you could sometimes play games to cool off from a burnout, or play games a controlled amount of time everyday to take needed breaks. Or sometimes, games can even be a way to connect with other people. To tell everyone to quit games entirely is a bit radical. It's fine to have a bit of digital fun as long as it isn't excessive or done unhealthily. Like all else, it's about finding the right balance.

      I think it's because stuff like youtube channels, sports and stuff like that are just other games, but with different rules. As someone who's been a gamer for 10 years, at some point you become tired of videogames always being the same and having the same mechanics, so when you find out real life is actually different, has a lot more variety and can be played as well, you just can't resist the awe. The majority of people go back to videogames even after this realization tho, because they can't get past the tutorial, while the real mfs who love challenges stay in game.
