A short story: The knight strolls into the throne room, after the king’s request. He bows down on one knee and asks the king: “what is my duties, my sire?” The king is visibly terrified and distraught and says “the queen has gone missing! And a letter from a lord of evil says to send the finest knights in the realm to challenge him in a gauntlet. If all of the knights and warriors fail then he’ll personally burn this realm to the ground. I’ve put all my faith into you to save my wife and free us from this threat. Good luck!” The knight is hurried down the hallway and given the best items and equipment to survive and save the city. Just before he goes, the princess gives him a peck on the cheek and says “be safe, my love!” As the knight gets on the horse and rides away. As he was traveling, he found many other knights and warriors looking to save their kings,lovers,chiefs,and queens. As the hundreds of knights find the clearing where they are directed to, they see a huge garden with a mist upon it and a huge dark maze behind it. They all rush to get off their horses and draw their swords and weapons, when they hear a loud sound. They look up to see the maze door open and thousands of sword bearing skeletons charge out. Our knights bravely charged at the skeleton army, and tried to fend them off in the garden. But the evil lord has tricks up his sleeves. Because when the knights stepped into the beautiful garden, not all was as it seems. The roses carried a dangerous poison that can’t been treated, while the grass pulled you into the depths below, andthe pollen choked you until you can’t breathe anymore. Many knights found that out and fell to the ground as they convulsed and died. The remaining knights were still battling the skeleton army as they saw faces of their comrades, but they were all stripped of all their flesh and charged at the remaining knights that were fending off the army of undead. The knight, who was sent to save their queen charged at one of the undead and sliced it’s head off. The head rolled and burned in the sunlight, so he shouted “They burn! They burn in the light!” The knights then charged at the army head on, losing lives quickly, only to push them into the light. The skeletons screamed and screeched as they burned up, while the knights finished off the rest of the stragglers. There was only about a quarter of the knights that came left, and the garden shriveled up right in front the remaining knights. Turning into a graveyard and a lake of endless mud. They can still see bones, armor, swords, bows, and crests of the comrades they lost. The maze was now open, as they built a wooden bridge over the mud and carefully walked over the graveyard. I don't quite understand why people are screaming violas. Because, I'm playing this song right now and so far the violins have the melody. So I don't know if the violas have a lot of better parts than most songs or something, can someone who plays viola please explain?
God i remember last year at our concert, some of the kids in my orchestra had found Doug on Twitter, and then he literally came to our concert where we played this song.
That's so cool one time we were in district assessment and played a song by Todd Parrish and he literally came up the stage and started talking about everything we did wrong lol
