Phenomenal!
why is your city raised so high? looks flimsy too.
Hi, I agree, I hate it honestly! I raised it up that exact height so I can fish lots of wires and USB splitters underneath the city for lighting. Check out the first video in this series...It is terribly flimsy if you push in the wrong area. If I could do it over, I think I would use wood or 3D print something, because it also takes a BUTT TON of plates and basic brick.

Il vaut mieux des petits et des gros pinceaux plutôt que la brosse à dent. 😊
I would be terrified to move that thing anywhere! So cool!
My favourite part is using grey feet/claws (whatever they're called) as decorations. Always nice to a new way to use a lego piece.
Great build. Looks awesome. Which part is used to represent the gargoyle at 5.45? Looking for something similar for a custom moc
The original design called for dragons, but those were too expensive for me. I used baby trex here www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=30464&name=Dinosaur%20Baby%20Sitting&category=%5BAnimal,%20Dinosaur%5D#T=S&C=85&O={%22color%22:%2285%22,%22iconly%22:0}
15:09 LOL! we've all been there. I know I've been there with lego sets, mocs, brickmania kits, etc. Gotta keep building!
That's a beautiful design and the Gothic architecture is spot on. The only thing the designers messed up is having stained glass windows in the tower above the nave's ceiling in what should have been a massive sound box for the bells.
yeah, the upper windows were supposed to be empty lattice, but I got used to doing stained glass, so my mistake!
Wow Just subscribed your channel ❤️
i am also make a big africa moc
I think the pipe organ is cool, but why have it so high up in the Cathedral? We all know that only old ladies play the organ, and there is no way that an old lady is going to climb that ladder. And if she does, where is she going to sit? There is plenty of room on the main level for the organ to go. Awesome build, though. Well done.
This is seriously inspiring, man -- can't wait to see what you have in store next!
you forgot to double tap the writing table 19:12 :SSSS
I think the priest at my church would appreciate this
Hey buddy 😊. Can you make more zoo update
Please 🙏🥺🥺
So far this has been a very fun, challenging build (esp. fitting the darn windows in), however I cannot find the large curved top doors that you show in your video, with the diagonal wood-pattern, anywhere. I bought part #2400 online, thinking they must be similar, however they are to wide and short. Can you please tell me either what they are called, and/or where you found them? I've tried searching everywhere online, using all sorts of word-combinations to find them with no luck. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you, and really like your videos/posts.
rebrickable.com/parts/33216/door-1-x-4-x-11-13-arched-top/ ... It's a Belleville part, extremely rare and expensive unfortunately
Thank you!!! I was wondering why it was not showing up in any of my searches. Really appreciate it.
Great build! I love how the stained glass windows look - and whether intentional or not it was the right choice to continue them up into the tower as those look fantastic. I was wondering for the spire would you have suggestions to fill it in? It looks a little skeletal as is and might look better if it was complete - something more like Salisbury Cathedral's spire.
To fill in the spire would take some serious engineering because of the steep angle, I'm not sure how to do it.
The warm lights look a bit better on video, but the others still look pretty good, and give a more modern street light look.
Stunning!
Ulmer Münster?
Wow! Your engineering prowess never ceases to amaze me. From one obsessive hobbiest to another, the greatest of respect sir. You love to see it :)
Looks great, how much did you pay for all the pieces?
About $1,400
Hi, could you write me the door’s size? Thanks
You might have stated but I am wondering how much the total cost was for this build? Considering it but want to get a rough idea of cost. If close to 23K at .06 a brick it would be around $1,500'ish, if you can let me know if I am close or way off
you hit the nail on the head, I spent $1,400. But again, it's interesting I collected parts from my own collection, then used LEGO store bulk, then bricklink. collection=free, used bulk=$80 per very large bag, bricklink=$$$$ for one piece. YMMV.
Do you know the scales from the cathedral. Length, wide, high...?
It's 87 cm high and it uses two 48x48 base- plates, so it measures 37x 78x 87cm
Hello. czcams.com/video/jhRbUbC6Me8/video.html
Wonderful series, I'm wondering where it would be best to buy these pieces from separately. Would you recommend Lego pick-a-brick? Also, where did you get those black fence pieces? They don't sell them on Lego's website.
bricklink.com :)
I’m building this with my son now and we’re still on the first level. The instructions definitely have some errors, & it was annoying that the furniture for the 1st floor was 2/3 thru the instructions when it called for them to be placed early-on. But other than some odd things & mistakes in there, it’s been fun to build & is shaping up to be an incredible lego build! Wondering if the larger cathedral of about 60k pieces is worth giving a try, or if that’s just way too big to take on…..?
Which one do you mean with 60k pcs. Bcs i couldnt find any with that amount. Do you have a link or smth

What a amzing build ! i really need that one in my collection keep up the good work and thank you for youre insperation
hey Chris, if I'm allowed to add my suggestions to the mix, I would like to propose the following: Try putting the area for the visitors with all the Infrastructure roughly in the center and seperate it from the parking lot. If I visit a Zoo, i would prefer eating my hot dog between majestic animals instead of hot cars and I think I'm not alone with that. The parking lot could be outside of the Zoo with a nice gate/arch as entrance for the Zoo. Putting the infrastructure in the center keeps the walks between the enclosures short and allows you to have a generous area that can get designed easily. It provides you space for accessories like a benches, a fountain, trees besides the food stand. Flowers also go a looong way. Maybe use 1/4 (the center corner) of the Africa cage for that. If the infrastructure is in the center, you can also design a nice, wide path that connects to the entrance and the parking lot and provides your visitors with a nice stroll until they reach the heart of the zoo. You could also get rid of the path around the enclosures, since, if you put yourself in the mind of a visitor: You would not like to be sandwiched between the Zoo wall on one hand and the enclosure on the other while following a straight, narrow path. Getting rid of the path also allows you to design the enclosure against the wall, allowing you to put trees and high terrain as well as shelters for the animals in the back, making everything seem more natural without anything obstructing the view. Bonus points of you put in some infrastructure for the Zookepers like a office, fodder storage and an entry into the enclosures.
wow, thanks for all the suggestions! I guess I have it in my mind that I want to build more dioramas of different biomes to showcase all the Lego animals and call it a zoo. lol :D
Cool we is posting a runs forth of juley vidio today’s! We is going to be doings fireworks and sparkalers and mini firerwurks!

This was such an awesome series to watch, you really deserve more subs! On a rough estimate, how long did you think it took you to make it all?
Without filming, I would guess 16-32 hours
Please please I need to know the cost of the bricks. I want to build this but not if it’s $5,000 US
It costs me $1,400 by sourcing mostly my own used bricks, then bulk from a local shop, a few LEGO.com orders for mass parts (hinge plates), and finally bricklink. I got 70% of the pieces from my local shop. I also made lots of substitutions like the 1,200 qty dark grey masonry profile brick with any dark grey grille or log palisade brick instead, whatever I could find. I also did a few color changes and size additions where appropriate. I substituted several light vs dark greys for each other while trying to stick to the plans. For instance, the inverse arches on the round windows were dark grey instead of light. The single most expensive parts are the Belville doors (x4), the gray hinges for the doors, and the brown cattails for the pews (x12). Those and a few other pieces drove my bricklink costs to like $700-800 even though that was the fewest pieces I collected.
@@Lets-Go-LEGO Thank you SOO much. My wife and I have blown through most of the large LEGO buildings specifically the Harry Potter stuff and are ready for a huge MOC like this.

great work!! I've enjoyed all of this series!!
Amazing work! Lots of endurance for sure! It was a fun project to follow to completion!
I totally just realized that the tower upper windows were supposed to be empty lattice, whoops! I just got used to building stained glass, just kept going, oh well...it does make it more beautiful. :)
I love all the stained glass so that's just a bonus!
