We are Jackie and Kevin, two Americans documenting our travels and our life in Paris. When we're not eating baguettes and drinking wine, we are exploring neighboring countries, discovering new cuisines and engaging in long lost hobbies. We purposefully limit our dialogue and commentary to create a home video feel. Embrace the slow travel, one destination to the next.
Discovering Berlin's History & Food Scene | Doner Kebap, Currywurst and More!
Our videos are beyond a simple travel guide, vlog or a list of travel tips. We purposefully minimize dialogue and commentary, as if you are traveling with us. We hope this inspires you to explore and see the city yourself! And there is reason why people travel for food! Come slow travel with us!
Berlin is rich in history with many monuments to visit and explore. But what excited us the most was their multicultural food scene and melting pot of cuisines to choose from. We went to the top food hotspots, including the legendary Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap where we had perhaps the best sandwich of our life, the doner kebap. Right across the street is the iconic Curry 36 where you can sample currywurst, pork sausage topped with curry powder and ketchup. There is great Vietnamese food at Monsieur Vuong where they have the classics like pho, summer rolls and fried spring rolls. If you are looking for something lighter, head to the Monkey Bar where they serve tasty hummus and tropical cocktails. It even has possibly the best view of the city that also overlooks the Berlin zoo. Despite its dark past, Berlin has solidified its reputation as one of most progressive cities in the world. Our first time to the capital of Germany was quite memorable and it certainly won't be our last visit.

Ahhhh, the amalfi coast. Me being a passionate greece-traveller and loving mountainous coastal hikes, i first came to amalfi coast last year because of a friend's wedding. I unfortunately only had one day for hiking, i spent it near nerano and did a 3 hour coastal hike, luckily i by accident even came across a 2 star michelin restaurant with a hearbraking view (Ristorante Quattro passi, check it out online, u gona get a heart attack from the view xD) and even got a place there xD. Hopefully im soon gona be back for 1-2 weeks of pure coastal hiking, especially when i was there in may, the flavour of the aromatic herbs and in comparison to greece many flowers (although greece clearly has the edge when it comes to aromatic herbs) made me fall in love with it
my italy favourites so far: amalfi coast, cinque terre my greece favourites so far (i keep it down to a 3 maximum and only small spots like villages, otherwise the list would be too long xD): olympos in karpathos, mesochori in karpathos, lindos in rhodos (not in july/august tho as its quite crowded then) dammit, greece still is by far my favourite even when compared to amalfi, but its a matter of taste ofc, for me the rustic, ancient and epic landscape/atmosphere combined with the heartbreaking traditional music takes the cake

I first heard of you on ABC radio with Rod Quinn interviewing you. I very much seen you come back to Australia and have always been interested in your journey. I love Paris… had a trip in 2015 and now am obsessed with watching folk who are there. I live in Tassie but am from USA originally. Aside from beautiful beaches for surfing, Biarritz has a wide selection of items to buy in their market. I bought a bottled squid ink for my Black Paella.
That is amazing. We never had Paella in Spain, it is a huge bucket list item we want to try at its origin. Are you a chef or cook? We love going to the markets to see what locals buy and eat.
San Sebastian is a very nice place along the water, excellent food and nice view.

You have inspired me to continue with my photography and videography, despite the hundreds of hours required to produce an excellent video like this one. You went to many places, filming and photographing endlessly to be able to have good material to edit to make the final product. Hi Laura. Your words are so kind. Yes indeed it took many hours of editing as we can be perfectionist at times. We really think it is important to engage in art. We live in a world that places less value on it and it is an irreplaceable way of express yourself. We hope you do return to photography and videography. To be honest, we are still learning each day and with each video. For this New Year's, we are actually in Croatia but we did see some fantastic pictures of the fireworks at the Arc de Triomphe. We were a little lame this year and kept it low key, we watched the fireworks from our balcony and fell asleep thereafter. Thank you so much for watching and supporting us. It truly means a lot!
