Registrace 27. 09. 2013
A channel where we explore the mountains and forest of east Tennessee and beyond in our Jeep JK. Mostly easy to moderate trails. We'll be searching for scenic views, water crossings, camping spots, hideaways, etc. We'll try to share locations and directions to places we find. Ride along and enjoy the beauty of the great Smoky Mountains, the Appalachians, Cumberland Plateau and other scenic areas of the southeast.

ROAD TREKKING THROUGH ARCHES NATIONAL PARK
zhlédnutí 75Před 2 měsíci
During our 5 day trip from California to Tennessee we found time to spend a few hours in Arches National Park. This short video is a very, VERY small sample of the beauty and breathtaking scenery you will encounter there. If you make the trip to Moab be sure to check this place out. Thanks for watching.
ROAD TREKKING DAY 2 SALT FLATS TO MOAB
zhlédnutí 84Před 3 měsíci
This is a little departure from my normal videos. My wife and I flew to Northern California to visit friends and family and instead of flying back we choose to drive back instead. In day two we leave Wendover Nevada and head to the Bonneville Salt Flats of Utah where we drive on the Salt Flats. We then head to Moab Utah in the Canyon Lands of Southern Utah making a stop in Helper Utah, a town w...
ROAD TREKKING CALIFORNIA TO TENNESSEE DAY 1

This is a little departure from my normal videos. My wife and I flew to Northern California to visit friends and family and instead of flying back we choose to drive back instead. In day one we drive through the Sierra Nevada Mountains, over Donner Summit, across Northern Nevada and end up at the border of Utah in the town of Wendover. We document the trip and talk about some of the areas we ar...

We continue our adventure to Capuchin Creek with Part 2. We make the water crossings, play in a little mud, stop for some lunch and then make the technical climb back out. Enjoy! www.gaiagps.com/map/?loc=11.4/-84.3557/36.5343&pubLink=yabSBJmbSk7sbdyilC4iSVtn&trackId=1f04a799-271c-4486-b1e3-ecc511dd082a
RETURN TO CAPUCHIN CREEK PART 1
zhlédnutí 241Před 4 měsíci
Almost a year to the day we return to Capuchin Creek Trail near Pioneer TN. I lead a group of coworkers, two for the first time and one who went last year but has modified his Gladiator since then. We have a blast with the mud, the rocks and the water crossings. I collected so much video I have had to break it up into two parts, so enjoy part 1 and I hope you end up looking forward to part 2. w...
A Muddy and Foggy Day At Royal Blue WMA
zhlédnutí 249Před 4 měsíci
We spend the day exploring the Royal Blue Wildlife Management Area outside of Pioneer and Caryville Tennessee. This video contains no music (with the exception of the intro and the outro). I thought I would just let the sounds of the trail and jeep provide the soundtrack. I'm always trying to tweak my video editing to make each video a little better. Thanks to those who give advice and construc...

We did it in a stock Subaru Outback Wilderness and no I would not do it again!
@@WilliamPowell-n3l I ended up going back and running it the opposite direction. Much easier. Those rocks were very slick.
Wonderful trip! Thanks for sharing. I am curious: which trails/roads did you ride on?
I'm wanting to hit this trail up soon. You on 37s? I'm lifted 3" on 35s and wondering if i could make it through those ruts as is or if I'd have to straddle them. I bet it'd be real interesting to go here after a heavy rain.
Don’t you have some mail to deliver?
This man here is so amazing and I’ve seen him in person🎉
Ready for more off-road videos thanks
Curious what was your estimated time elapsed from start of Rocky top to end of hall road?
Just did this today in my JLU Sport. It was dry and i think that made the difference. Mine walked right up it.
I hope you enjoyed that jeep cuz it ain't no good now
i just saw your youtube channel on your jeep when i was stopped at a stop light. you are my new favorite youtuber!
Awesome trails and videos. I just move to east TN from AZ. I'm ready to go out and play in the jeep. When and where is your next trip?
I'll hopefully be planning one soon
WE LOVE TENNESSEE TREKS
I was there when i made the trip to Sacramento Ca. Nice video !
Way more pretty than Norris, Andersonville, and Hieskell eh?!?!?!?
I lived in Utah for 7 years! I loved it. Been all over Moab on an ATV. All the trails. But yeah, you forgot your Jeep lol. It’s a different kind of beauty than East Tennessee, and getting video without wind out there is nearly impossible! Your vid is making me want to go back and visit.
great video yet again, need the next part NOW!
Did a similar trip back in 1974 After I graduated from UT. My cousin and I went out to Quincy, CA to visit my aunt and his mom who was living there with her cousin. We came back through Beckworth Pass and up through Nevada, Utah and Wyoming on I-80 and cut down through Denver and followed I-70 to St Louis. Then down through Metropolis, KY into the beautiful, green state of Tennessee and back to Kingsport. I didn't realize how green it was here in Tennessee until I got back.
I appreciated the video very much. A little disappointed you didnt include video of the actual flame. Just a blip in the background. Great vid of the trail, though. Thanks.
Just there last week! 😊 Really!
I've been there many of times!
Great informative video! Plan to get our family out there in the next year or so. What year is your JKU?
2009
@@tennesseetreks based on your set up, you really did have that Jeep LOADED down!
Definitely! It's amazing how much you need for 2 people for just a few days! 😆
Looks like an awesome trail. I live here in Maryville. I am going to try to find this.
YEAHHHHHH!!!!
I had a blast! Thanks for the invite!
No thats where they live by side of road. Fuk sum idiots are unbelievable. Do u hve a farm, u should ask wheres ur farm at.
He's so damn proud of himself. 😂
I got a girl named Rama Lama Ding Dong 🎶.
No drama Lamas 😂😂😂
Thx for the videos. You can still get to the flame. There just isn't a flame to see anymore, but you can go there and turn around.
.
If you put a ride together I want to go I live in Morristown I’ve got a Jku
Heading out Sunday morning. Meeting off I-75 north of Knoxville. Email me at tennesseetreks4jeeps@gmail.com for details
Great video. There are a lot of trails/roads to explore in that area. Will definitely be checking out this one soon.
Great video, is this trail open year round?
Next time you are up in greene or cocke County hit me up.. We was up there and seen some lamas once.. my wife couldn't believe it lol.
i sure hope whoever lives in that house doesn't ever see this and see the snobs that clearly are nothing but tourists turned move-ins, make fun of their HOME. yes someone lives there. how rotten to have people make fun of someone's home and be so oblivious of it that they put it on youtube for the public to see. gross. i'm sure wherever you're from with your whatever accent misses you. maybe you should go back so you don't have to look at such atrocities.
Love this video, I would rather hear the engine and trail sounds rather than music blaring. Thanks
I originally had intentions of hitting Martha Sundquist that same Saturday but ran out of time. Ended up just taking a drive up out of Citico Creek instead. The roads looked pretty wet in the video. Were there any problematic spots?
None. Pretty easy to traverse, but not far from Hurricane Creek trail for a more challenging drive.
Hey dude get it right. There's no such thing as an X MARINE. What friend you are......
And the trail you came off of and went through the creeks is the TN gulf trail.. not sure if the other 2 rds up there even have a name. They can make a big loop or take you to exit 7 or to max patch rd.. depending on what turn you make
Next time your up this way and want to explore hit me up.. I know about every trail around these parts
I'm watching your jeep trip and I've got a 2013 wrangler sport 4x4 with the 6speed trans and nothing fancy about it. Soft top and the 16inch wheels and tires. I'm going to get me a set of 285 70 16 for my jeep. Would I be able to do the jeep trip that you done.
You should be fine, but don't go alone. There's a couple of tricky spots where you might someone spotting for you. Good luck
@tennesseetreks Thanks. As soon as I get my tires I'm going to go look it over . I I'm not too far from it ok . I'M ON THE Tennessee side ok.
I don't know about a 6 out of 10. We did it with 3 renegades and a liberty. All on 29s
I live in Loudon TN and really enjoy your trips. I am sure you get plenty of advice...but...your audio at times makes me just stop listening. I am not crazy about the rock music you play...but I could live with that if the volume was lower. Your voice is very low so I have to turn the volume up to hear you...then the music blasts on and I have to turn it down. I find myself chasing the volume. If your voice was louder and the music softer...I would enjoy your videos more than I do. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much. I'm always trying to get the volumes right. I appreciate the feedback.
@@tennesseetreks keep it going. Thanks
Nice trail but the mountain laurel branches wreak havoc on a vehicle exterior.
Do you know if this is closed during the winter or anything? Or where I can find info on that?
I dont believe it closes. We were up there last February
You definitely should take a ride up to Buzzards Roost. Off-road on the Goat Trail to Buzzards Roost and Cataloochee Valley czcams.com/video/xrO-kpGJTS4/video.html
Nice video, looks like you had fun. Hurricane Creek is one of our favorite trails and Max Patch is very nice hike as well.
I need to drive down from my Carmel, tn and drive my new Colorado trail boss truck on Rocky top. Already took it up hurricane gap logging trail to rich mountain fire tower located just north of hot springs,nc. Eventually I plan on driving on cataloochie hwy and hurricane creek roads. Plus tackle buzzards roost.
Did it w/ my wife & 2 daughters several years back. They'd never been "off roading". Stock unlocked Xterra on 33's & no skids made it more nervous than most. The spot at 18:45 was simple but narrow & asked wife to just tell me when to turn my wheel. She freaked, got out with my daughters and they walked for a long time. We accidentally went RIGHT at the fork and came out 30 minutes from Max Patch on another rise. That kinda sucked so don't do that.
Is there a turnaround spot at the end of longarm? I see it dead ends on the map
From what I experienced it's a through road
I suggest running Old Buzzard's Roost Road and the follow it up with Long Arm. That would be a nice day
@@tennesseetreks cool we’ll be coming up from Maggie valley and going that way up buzzards roost or Harmon den road
We’re heading that way today!
