Great question, they are much lighter, and the design of the boat is much more efficient on the water. Stock vs Stock I believe is like 5mph ish more on the GP skis. The biggest difference on them is not so much the top speed but they have such better handling you can ride them a lot more aggressive and safely. The acceleration is incredible as well. When we get our hands on an F1 this summer we I’ll be uploading some videos on it!

@whatisaray that makes more sense now, so really the 70+mph boats are running high compression, cams, rave fuel, pump to match and with those handling improvements you get a much more aggressive overall package. At least that's what I'm getting from it. It's amazing to me how small the stand up community is and how hard it is to find some of the information. Very tight nite group of people. Really wanting to do a rickter MX1 style build with a 1500 in it but the more I search around for answers the more I think a hood and steering kit on a SXr is my only answer but again I'd love to make a fix steer style GP1R too just hard to find much info on a lot of it.

@@DDRDK yes the 70+ boats are full mod. Fast Powersports skis are the best GP skis by far right now because of Dustin’s knowledge and expertise in setting up the boats. If you want a fixed steer boat with a 1500, there is a really cool company in Thailand doing Waveblaster 1 custom hulls that they put 1500 motors in and they look so damn good. I made one comment and you know someone making hulls to do it haha, it's crazy how much yall jetski people know every in the industry. Thanks for the heads up! @@DDRDK yeah I go to a lot of the races and spend a lot of time on the water it just comes with time. You would be amazed by the knowledge in Havasu every time I meet someone out there I learn something new about skis it’s awesome!

Danny, my boy…. I see you, don’t necessarily feel you… but it’ll be okay. I think this is just how California riders/drivers are. Fast Powersports offers different trim levels. Basically the factory edition came with more of a performance set up. Not necessarily a race boat by any means but for a stock motor it’s the fastest boat in the world. You should see his new F1 it’s even better and I will ride one soon and have a video on that!

@whatisaray yeah I want to ride one. I rode a built gp1 that dustin built for a friend amd that danm thing was a rocket. Made my round nose superjet feel like a kawi 440 🤣🤣

@@jeffbryner5355 yes they are so fast but the round nose superjet is the best ski still in my opinion! I will post some videos of me riding superjet soon

Great question, i never GPS before the install. In a straight line probably nothing too crazy. On a course though whole different story! It drives forward on exit so much better because it is hooked into the water. So much less sliding and you can really push your feet into the tray to keep the ski driving forward. ProWC nailed it on their handling stuff for the vintage skis in my opinion.

The people that say you can’t track the bike don’t know how to ride or they are spoiled. Could it be better? Absolutely but it can easily be slightly modified to be a do it all machine!

Yes, the DRZ would be fine but I feel like these higher quality bikes offer a much more enjoyable experience and will lead to you wanting to ride more and overall have more fun! At your size, I am not much smaller, just make sure you have the suspension set up or at minimum just adjusted so you can really enjoy the handling the way that it was intended to be!
