Fig coffin😂 love it!
Awesome!!!🎉
I see you pruned some tips. Did you root them? Yes, that Stella was a decent treat, I had only a couple ripe ones so far.
@@justafig no I didn’t prune any tips off. I just let them go the inground trees
Go for the closed hole fig varieties bugs can't get inside
Hello Scott! I’m in zone 6b in New England and we usually plan our dormancy for after October! Maybe I understood you wrong? Thanks for sharing amigo!
Tried a fig off my first Brown Turkey tree this year and it had a pleasant peach taste.
Baby Cardinals decided to go up my fig branches biting 90% of the tiny pea sized Brown Turkey figs. I thought it was an insect doing it so I put bug dust on them. More formed and the birds bit them in half too. I finally stopped it by wrapping my two trees that produced this year. I put 4 more Celeste trees in the ground this March and have another cutting from the other in a pot. My trees have leaves that don`t match either fig type so who knows what they are. I got one ripe Brown Turkey so far and it was the sweetest fig I`ve ever tasted. I was expecting a very bad tasting fig after hearing all the big fig experts say it`s not worth growing. My 2 year old tree is already massive and a cutting from this year is already 8 feet wide and 4 feet tall and has fruits.
@@baneverything5580 very cool
Can you post a picture of the silica product you use? Where you get it and how you apply?
@@bosquebear1 hey I posted a picture of the silica I use at Amazon!
Very nice fig orchard, I have to admit in ground trees do taste slightly better than potted trees for sure! Thanks for sharing!!! Best Wishes!
TY
They look yummy! Good job.
Check the ph of the soil it might have gotten nutrient lock out. Or take it out of the pot and check it for bugs nats or something. Good Luck 👍
Romania💋❤💋❤💞✌
Did you pinch your fig trees? If so when?
@@spiritualsoul2711 no I did not pinch my fig trees. I just let them do their thing.
Location?

Just got one this year, hoping for fruit next season. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful figs!!! What is your fertilization regimen other than compost tea? 😊
New subscriber here from Cologne, Germany😊
I live in Vineland New Jersey and my figs just started ripening I picked about 14 today and it's my first time they were so delicious I am beyond grateful praise Christ
Probably a Chicago Hardy or Celeste
مرحبا بك يا صديقي أشجار التين البرشومي روووووووووووعه أحسنت فيديو جيد جدا ❤
I'm glad that the fig is good. Just enjoy the fig, don't let the name bother you.
@@eretabegardens it’s definitely a different profile than my other figs. I am blessed to have it in my collection and you’re right. I’m not gonna let it bother me. I’m just gonna enjoy it. Thanks, Ben.
@@scottyrocksfigs You are welcome Scotty.
It looks delicious! Could it possibly be an LSU Tiger? That spade leaf, tri-lobed leaves and the bit of striping is what I’m thinking about.
@@afig3539 yes it definitely looks like an LSU fig Very cool leaves
Is this Emalyn’s purple? Never heard of the variety that you named.
No, I did not name it. I bought it from trees of joy.
That’s not right your other trees are holding fruit until ripe. Then it’s not what you think it is have you gotten ripe fruit from it before berba crop perhaps
@@jackhart1883 I didn’t get a Brerba crop on the potted fig trees
@@scottyrocksfigs how many years have you had it
@@jackhart1883 three years this spring I did root pruning
@@scottyrocksfigs so you did hold figs on it last yr
Celeste will drop before fully ripe for the first two yrs sometimes
Are we sure it’s not a San Pedro fig, like maybe desert king? I would check the roots. Maybe root bound? But yeah, first thing is are you water enough. But if your leaves are green, watering is fine.
Will they get ripe on the counter?
@@jamestownsendjrtbees3226 no with figs once you pick them they stop ripening
I am new to figs this season. That's cruel and good to know. I am patiently waiting for my first figs to ripen.
Looking great
@@jackhart1883 Ty 🙏
I wish i could have this plant in the Philippines
What a great video, Scotty! Peaches?! That looked amazing!! Your eggplants are enormous compared to mine. ❤
@@afig3539 thank you so much 😊
Beautiful fig trees Scott, enjoy my friend, best Wishes and GOD bless!
I like your thinking. Stick with what works for your area. Enjoy the fruit. North Jersey hear.

Great Potted Fig Tree 🎉 Thank you for sharing 🙏
😃🎉 Excellent I subscribed to your channel 🙏
@@Godisincontrol325 thank you 🙏
@@scottyrocksfigs you're welcome 😁 Happy Growing..
That little window near the ground need some Linseed Oil, then a few layers of paint. You still have room to crawl in there and do the shit. Before the plants get too big. :) Dig out the dessert king and move it. yea some work but..... doing it right just feels good. Not pushing, Im the lazy one....
@@CapricaSoul thanks
Excellent Scott ! Your trees are growing very healthy and productive!🎉

Nice job Scotty!!! Best Wishes! GOD bless!
Why not wait until they go dormant and transplant them?
I’ve got a similar solution I keep in a bucket all year long. Works surprisingly well
Cool
Your harvest next year will be smaller doing a hard pruning but I think you can pinch after you get a couple feet of new growth.
Take cuttings on the two you want to move
Scott’s fig city! You better share some with me to try! 🤩🤩
how does the fig tree in a grow bag do, but in the ground? any reason why not just plant it in the ground without the grow bag?
Nice job Scotty! How similar is the White Marseille to the authentic Italian Honey a.k.a. lattarulla??? Best Wishes!
Yummmm!❤
Everything’s looking good brother 👍👍
