Was a bucket list experience for me. Did it on Thursday, and then went and did it again on Friday. Epic! Next time I don't want to hold the red and blue hand holds. I want to just walk off of the ledge! ❤

I’m a kiwi and just did my first jump at kawarau and really wanna do the Nevis now might have to plan another road trip over and try both the swing and the bungee

I would give anything to experience this jump for the first time again

I did this jump as part of the triology in 2001. One of the best things I did in my life ever. In fact I regret doing the triology I should have done the Nevis 3 times on its own

I've been studying tourism in NZ all year and AJ Hackett is a major theme in the curriculum. I'm also a metalhead and Alien Weaponry is top NZ metal. So this was some pretty awesome advertising for someone like me!

I wrote the standards for Bungee Jumping in 1990 whilst contracted to The World Bungee Jumping Association. The are still used exactly the same today. We were from NewZealand and our test site was in the Auckland cbd harbour front. We went to England to establish the court case to prove the sport was safe for The Brussels Convention. I have the news paper clippings and may even have the original manuals. We were so poor we skateboarded to work ;) Was a lot of fun and the double connection system of waist and ankle harness enabled me to establish a failsafe connection. We also doubled up every other part of the system including the cage. I even have the original teflon bobbin that we designed to reduce stress on the bands. I did over 500 jumps... still remember the first one :)

The fall does not increase the pressure in the face and head? Also no hard tugging at the ankles when you are hanging down till the boat gets us down? I will be doing my first bungy next month and am 55years..afraid I don't injure myself.

A English postie did their semi suspended 14 times in 1 dat with a 220m drop maybe more. I loved my experience as I sa a 12yrs old, 76 yrs old & a man of 126kg did it. So emptied my pockets & went for a memorable launch. Also its was the opening of their wine bar & restaurant which I got to have a few after & bought the decent vintage. Recommend the whole experience

8.5 seconds of freefall? Maybe if you add up each bounce. I was 6 seconds between platform and bottom of first bounce, the last two seconds weren't exactly freefall because the bungee was slowing me down. 4 seconds of freefall for me, but it's all I needed. The first second was the most beautiful moment of my life. Don't go to NZ and not do this.
