Yeah, clearly they did this one first and the record company wanted something more ridiculous. So Kristin's hair was quite a few inches longer in the chimpanzee video indicating that it was done some months later, everyone seemed to play along, they hired a stunt double for the hotel room scenes... the 'Muses didn't really like this record, right? And then the original video was officially withdrawn....
@@TheObimara oh wow very interesting thanks for sharing this , by the i guess they like original right? and like around 6 years ago when Vh1 classic (directTV) was on the air now they change it to MTV classic( like always they fuck it up) the original video like you said , Vh1 classic always played it and on CZcams they have the monkey version for them that's the original , how unfortunately they don't have original one version on CZcams

They were total shite for me, but sometimes I really miss the 90s.
Back when this was released my Grandad died. I just got a new surround sound technics stereo and my friend gave me ~Hips n Makers to listen to. It was strangely suitable and Stipes haunting vocal really stuck with me.
