sir , in ioqm 2023 there were a lot of problems based on geometrical combinatorics , can you refer me a book/handout/problem sets to gain mastery on those problems

Sir please clear my doubt that we know sq. Root of 1 =+1 but if we apply demovires theorem (1)^1/2 = (cos2nπ + i sin2nπ)^1/2 = (cosnπ+ i sin(nπ)) = 1 when n=0 and =-1 when n=1 and so on values repeat therefore (1)^1/2 = +1 and also =-1 so where is the contradiction?

And now im thinking of quitting my jee and also i didnt want to give jee but just to improve my mathematics i was preparing forjee ..when i told my faculty that i want to get gold medal for india in maths olympiad and then get into isi and just want to study maths they told that this is not a good idea and you will be limiting your carrer options but i have decided to become mathematician and they are saying how will you earn and pcm is the basic thing you must have command on not only on mathematics .. so sir are they right or should i just follow what i want ... I have dreamed of getting gold in imo and want to dedicate my full day to mathematics only ...

why is f=0 or f=1/3 or f=2/3 why cant f = k/3 where k is integer and (k,3)=1

In the last case I=0 or I=3, so the corresponding values of x=2/3 and x=11/3.
