    i have a 5 wire stator on an 89 650sx just fried - amazon sells a 4 wire stator - can the 4 wire work?

    • @JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel
      @JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel Před dnem

      @khanservativ2401 aftermarket electrical parts are well know to be junk. Your best bet is used oem ones. You can useva 4 wire one. The 5 wire ones have an extra ground. Or so I've heard. It's a good idea to add a ground wire from the ebox to the engine.

    • @khanservativ2401
      @khanservativ2401 Před dnem

      @@JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChanneldiscovered it was only that 5th ground wire that fried. The one that fastens to the back of the stator. The rest were ok. So that 5th wire on the stator harness is an additional ground?

    • @JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel
      @JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel Před dnem

      @khanservativ2401 sorry. That's about the extent of my knowledge on the stator wires. You might be able to verify it's a ground wire with a voltmeter set to ohms. Might also try adding a ground wire from the ebox to the engine to see if it works again. I'm still trying to master the electrical side of these skis.

      @@JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel Ok - Thank you very much for your time. I'll do some more study. The ebox ground your suggesting, are you saying that would be a 6th wire? An additional ground from the box itself to a bolt somewhere on the block? Sorry. I really do thank you for your advice.

    • @JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel
      @JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel Před 21 hodinou

      @khanservativ2401 some skis like the js440, js550, 550sx came from the factory with a wire from the ebox a stud on the intake manifold. Since your ground wire burned up I figure it's a good idea to add one. It's not going to hurt on any ski to have a ground wire from the ebox to the engine. Extra protection for the stator I figure.

    Hi, I have a 1988 650sx and it will not start or idle, to start it i put some gas down the spark plug holes, crank it at full throttle and off it goes and work great from 10% - 100% throttle, if you stop and try to idle it will stall and no start, this is first time out this year but last year did not have this problem , is the low speed/ idle jet plugged you figure, i dont want to take the carb off and mess with it if its another issue....

The main part that provides cooling is the brass 90 degree fitting on the side of the jet pump, it hooks to a hose that goes through the hull and into the bottom of the exhaust manifold. My 750 only has 5 wires coming out of stator case 2 yellow 1 black yellow 1 black red and 1 black and they all go into the rectifier 🧐

      Kinda sounds like a 650 stator. It's possible to put a 650 stator and flywheel on a 750. You might look at my other videos to see some differences. Or join a Kawasaki Facebook group and post a question there.

  • @CalvintheterribleIbarkateveryo

    Can you put a 750 electronics on a 650?

    • @JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel
      @JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel Před 9 měsíci

      People are usually trying to go the other way and put a 650 stator and flywheel on a 750. Let's you advance the timing and gives you a lighter flywheel. Seems like you should be able to but I'm not 100% sure.

    Did you do anything else than the pipe to the engine? I am searching for tuning parts for my engine but none are available.

    • @JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel
      @JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel Před 9 měsíci

      The engine was ported by Group K. What parts are you looking for? You could do a high compression head. The ignition system on this is stock and the carbs are dual Mikuni ibody 40 mm.

      I am a new guy to 2 stroke tuning, i might be looking for another exhaust and a a cylinder head to increase compression. I am from Germany.

      @peterheunz9391 I recommend checking out some of the Kawasaki two stroke Jet Ski groups on Facebook. There are people all over the world in the groups. You can find parts and help doing upgrades. I think Jack Hollmand is in Holland and does lots of stuff with the X2s.

      Thank you. I wish I had more time to shoot videos and actually edit them. There are two Super Chicken groups on Facebook. One is a buy and sell group. It's pretty hard to find a good deal in a group of enthusiasts. I recommend putting a wanted ad on Craigslist in the boats for sale section. If you're looking to get started in PWCs, I recommend the 90s Kawasaki 650 and 750 skis. I can usually find good deals on project skis if I look long enough and I think Kawasaki's are the easiest to work. Also plenty of parts available. Seadoos are my least favorite to work on.

      By reducing the ohms (resistance), the car is able to move the fuel needle from empty (bottom float controls that portion of the tank) to full (the top float). When ohms are reduced, voltage increases, allowing the needle to move more or less since it uses different voltages on an electromagnet to display fuel level.

    • @JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel
      @JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel Před 11 měsíci

      The Kawasaki 750 SS / sitdown skis have a primitive fuel gauge. For each float that drops one light goes out on the "dash". 4 lights is a full tank, 3 is 3/4s 2 is half and so on. There is also a light that comes on if the oil level is low in the oil tank and a light that comes on if the water temp sensor detects it's too hot.
