Wild that this is a reboot of a song performed (not sire if they wrote it) by Doc & Merle Watson. Billy is a true scholar of bluegrass and old time music. Not to mention other genres. He's a dead head and a metal head, lol. Awesome human.

Actually this song is called "The Cocaine Blues". Thanks for posting this excellent version by Doc.

Actually, they're 2 different songs. Doc's song is called, Let The Cocaine Be on his vinyls. Billy Strings and Don Julin started calling it "Cocaine Blues" when they play Doc's song. They cause people to get the 2 songs mixed up nowadays. I have the Live & Pickin' album by Doc and Merle Watson (1979) and it's titled "Let The Cocaine Be" and it is on his other albums as well. "Cocaine Blues" wasn't ever done by Doc Watson. Johnny Cash made Cocaine Blues famous. He had to call his "Transfusion Blues" in some instances, because Cocaine was taboo. Then, on the Folsom album he got to print it up as Cocaine Blues. One of the first renditions of Cocaine Blues was done by Billy Hughes in the 40s.
