Hikawa Shrine Omiya EXPLAINED - one of the most important shrines in Greater Tokyo . #氷川神社 #大宮区
Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine (武蔵一宮氷川神社) is located in Saitama and is easily accessible from Tokyo. While Omiya Station and surrounding areas are very busy, Hikawa is like a tranquil oasis - with trees, ponds, nature, and a magnificent shrine.
Hikawa Omiya used to be the head Shinto shrine of former Musashi Province (present day Greater Tokyo) and still impresses with lush greenery and many auxiliary buildings. There is a two-storied Romon Gate which marks the entrance to the main shrine grounds, as well as a main hall (honden), praying hall (haiden) and dance stage (maiden).

hi, i wanted to comment on your tokyo matcha video but the comments are turned off? i just wanted to say that i really enjoyed that video, the way you glance and smile at the camera every now and then throughout the ceremony, it felt like i was having tea with a good friend. i hope you are well and having a great new year. i know theres been a lot of turbulence in japan lately, so i really hope you and your loved ones are safe
