The two of us have our own individual stories and experiences with mental health and addiction. What brought the two of us together to join forces was simple: a story. A story about our past experiences that were very different but were understood. Experiences combined with our love for connection is how the 'Be More You' concept came to life. Our hopes are to enable young people to understand and connect to who they are. This will include looking at the belief systems that they hold about themselves and how these are created, with a focus on social pressure, self-doubt, diversity and fear of judgement.

As much as the Year To Live series is all about chasing after your dreams. and making things happen, it's also about asking those deeper harder to answer questions, like how do you seek forgiveness and let go of your past?
With the help of 6 incredible individuals who are all a part of a local community rehabilitation centre called 'The Power in You Project' who all had a past that involved some form of drug and alcohol addiction, we asked them to write a letter to someone who they were seeking forgiveness from. And this is what they had to say...
