Not to knock Jeff - I do like him, especially during the Jan Hammer p;eriod - but when you listen to this, then think about some Zeppelin from the same period, it's easy to conclude that the better players/songwriters/performers won.
This was a favorite song when I first heard it back in the '70s or late 60's...AND IT STILL IS. Dylan must have been honored.
このレース見てました 浅岡さんのR6スパイダーが独走しておりもう決まったなと思い帰ったら 後日雑誌でその後リタイアしたと聞いて驚きました
Always enjoyed this song
They also did going down on this set anyone have video ?
This line up is my favorite, they appear to be having fun but working hard. I get this, not too high brow and more than just three chord songs. Always had the cream of the crop line up.
Ill be 74 come September 1st 2024 and still digging this sound..
Happy birthday 🖤

Still good music even in the yr 2024........Trumps victory song
Great bassist!
AI who else is here
Nobody touches this guy. So sorely missed.
Back when even the most virtuous guitarists understood how to be tasteful and play what’s right for the song let the whole band shine
... ¡¡¡ TLAZOKAMATI !!! ...
I return to this video now and then when I’m in a reflective mood or simply taking time to exhale. I first knew of Jeff Beck when he was with The Yardbirds. Over the decades I caught five of his live performances. The first was in Long Beach, California with this very lineup of the Jeff Beck Group around the same time of this Beat Club production. I’m grateful that this video exists and is available on CZcams for us to enjoy. Thanks.
Sorry about my ignorance, but what's percussion player name?
Clapton would just made this stale and lifeless.
2 years later from the last comment. Great performance by all 4. Live trax on video. All 4 were on the same page and you can hear it. Good times. Thanks 👍
thank you so much for sharing this
jeff beck we love you for all of eternity.......
His specific brain illness is listed as a side effect on the cdc website . Rip
What a voice!!! Love it❤
Rip to a legend
アイビージャケットにリッケンバッカーがいいね。ポール・ウェラ―の影響?
What band !!! Incredible!!!
Bob was one of the most underrated, overlooked singers to ever approach a microphone. Like Cozy and Jeff you will be deeply missed💔🙏🎼
1st video I saw on MTV. Back on the day early 80s
😁
Mick Jones?
listen to CAROLINE NO with just Beck and a cello and drum and bass he plays it so you could cry. the audience goes nuts they know they just heard the hand of God on a guitar its was 2020.
😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰
A perfect song. I love it.
Pete Townshend of The Who has said that the song "Sister Disco" is a statement that the band will never use disco elements in their music. He also said that the song is a farewell homage to the sound of disco, which had an impact on rock bands in the 1970s. The song's lyrics include "We are going to be true to ourselves and not sell ourselves or our fans out"
I like Bobby Tench’s voice myself. Jeff’s guitar is brilliant even back then. Just love his solo’s ❤Just love Jeff ❤️RIP
I’ve always had this (frankly, rather depressing) theory that artists tend to reach their artistic peak in their twenties, and it’s essentially all over by the time they hit thirty. It’s not hard to think of musicians whose careers would seem to confirm this - despite decades of prolific output, they never again produce anything that touches the greatness of their early output. But it occurs to me that Jeff Beck is an exception. Jeff Beck in his seventies was a significantly better and more interesting guitarist than Jeff Beck in his twenties. He never got bored with the instrument, and consequently never stopped learning, progressing and evolving.
what a monster quintet! Bob Tench power voice, Cozy master double pedal, Max great taste and Mr Beck…
3:35😂Cozy😍

Jeff Beck the one and only!
Can't find "Goin Down" from this performance anymore !?
The best band of musicians ever !
Clive Chaman is a great bass player....listen to him.....
RIP Bobby Tench
Power & Soul - great music
RIP The great unsung Bobby Tench.
RIP Bobby
Epitome genius and cool.
It's a real pity this lineup didn't last longer. Bobby Tench's vocals are amazing, Max Middleton's keyboard and arranging skills really fill out the sound, and let Beck fly. I love the bass and drums on this tune, too.
