Zanussi ZFL1023 Jetsystem Cottons Final Spin
zhlédnutí 21KPřed 10 lety
The final spin consists of 2 minutes at 550rpm, 2 minutes at 850rpm and 2 minutes at 1000rpm. This is followed by two anti-crease tumbles, during which the door is unlocked. Therefore I can open the door immediately after the cycle is completed.

    @lovehanddryer It's designed to spin during the wash to aid the cleaning process. The hum is the Jetsystem circulation pump.

    In 1989 my wife bought one like this as our servis quartz was no longer repairable I gave the Zanussi to my mother who had it till 2001 when it was replaced with a new jetsystem with a 1400 spin and thats still in use to this day. Its true that they don't make them like they used to !!.:)

    The water level is higher to make up for there being only three rinses instead of four, four being the number on conventional Zanussi machines of the time.

    This machine's so cool in every way, but there's only one thing i miss from the machines from it's time and after by Hoover & Hotpoint, distribution draining! Would make the Zanussi better.

    Love the water level, it's like the old hoovers! But the zannusi has better tumbles!

  • @HooverAC110
    @HooverAC110 Před 15 lety

    Oh right thanks for the info. on the spin, I think thats cleaver for an old machine too, but if the load is only small or it is not sudsy then it saves time Cool, this machine must not be too bad for creasing then really if it does a cooldown in cottons and synthetics. As for Wool and Silk you don't really need them anyway because the wash temp. is only low. Haha yeah I can tell by the 'half way up the door' rinse water level! Thanks again for getting back to me

  • @hotpoint9534
    @hotpoint9534 Před 15 lety

    This washer will do two spin bursts if it detects too many suds or when washing a full load of towels etc. The machine does do a cooldown at all temperatures on cottons and synthetics. No cooldown on Woollens or Silks because the main wash is at the higher level. This washer was made before manufacturers started cutting down on water usage! Hope that helps.

  • @HooverAC110
    @HooverAC110 Před 15 lety

    Cool spin, reminds me of Mielefan18's aunties Privileg washer, only difference is yours does one long burst. Does the machine do a cooldown at all temperatures?

    I totally agree, shame machines don't have timers anymore. Oh right haha well thats ok because the filming was just great :D Oh nice one I can't wait to see them all, I just saw the 'end of main wash' vid and thought oops I asked if there are more videos. Oh well now I know hehe. I have some vids to put on myself too, so yeah enjoy :D Thanks again

  • @hotpoint9534
    @hotpoint9534 Před 15 lety

    Yeah it was a good idea by Zanussi, I normally 'crank' it like you say but I was so busy concentrating on getting the filming right! There are videos of the whole cycle coming this evening. : )

  • @HooverAC110
    @HooverAC110 Před 15 lety

    Ah your very welcome Oh right I see now, well I think that is a good idea, especially for families with children! so the timer will not advance and it would be difficult for a kid to put at the same time. I just thought, You could 'crank' the dial rather than getting in a twist when turning the dial too if you get me lol. Don't mean to be rude, but have you done anymore videos to this main wash? Thanks for the fast reply :D

  • @hotpoint9534
    @hotpoint9534 Před 15 lety

    Thanks for the comment! The straight bit has to be pushed in to engage the timer mechanism, if you don't push it in the centre 'straight bit' spins around without advancing the programme. This was used to prevent accidental movement of the selector while the machine is on.

  • @HooverAC110
    @HooverAC110 Před 15 lety

    Great vid once again, strange thing is that I was watching the video of this machine before you did this one haha. I really like this washer. Oh and yeah the only thing I don't understand is why when you turn the dials does the straight bit were you put your fingers on move about? :D
