You are an inspiration to all Muslims! But I feel sad that new Muslims, particularly sisters, take on practices as a religious duty and undergo hardship that could be avoided. For instance, the concept of hijab and fine arts in Islam is misunderstood in mainstream Islam, I think due to the assumption that there can be no other interpretation and due to the universality of these these concepts. It was an eye opener when, later in life, I listened to Javed Ahmed Ghamdi, whose explanation makes so much more sense than the views I had been listening to all my life. I hope Muslims look at alternative interpretations to appreciate the wide expanse the religion offers to human beings in religious practices. Bless you.

I remember smoking in front of my schools Catholic Church so I didn’t have to go to religion class her story reminds me of him the priest I would get in trouble on purpose because I felt like he and the church was evil. He called me the devils child. And I said eww I’m not ur child. After that I was banned from class 😂 he called a child the evil while telling children how they would burn had no patience I went to the all girls campus and he was extremely kind and friendly to the all boys campus. His whole vibe was girls were disgusting and boys he was different. We were not Catholic tho I didn’t do any major practices it was like Allah (I didn’t know it was Allaha’s the time ) made everything sound like it would when ur under water, If that makes sense . Especially their hymns like I couldn’t take it all in like I had ear plugs in and a intuitive sense of darkness I couldn’t be comfortable I was a brat smoking openly sinning so I didn’t have to go I got in trouble at home for that over going. I still trust my intuition. It’s strong still to this day and it’s saved me multiple times. I still believe something bad would have happened if I just stayed in that class. I’m Sicilian Palestinian and a revert to Islam now decades after the class. I had no respect still don’t for ppl who harm children or scare them as such Islam is so pure honest and to the point.
