@angrytourist lol. Some chords suck...do you do any finger warm ups like scales or the caterpillar? Also check your thumb position. Sometimes just popping it on the back of the uke is all it takes to open up the hand a bit.

Thanks so much. Yes, the ukulele has been good to a lot of us during the pandemic which was when I started doing a lot of tutorials for this channel. Now I teach more in person and have less time because all my young students want to learn Taylor Swift!😂

Yes, but if you want to use any gain staging like overdrive, fuzz etc you are better off searching for a solid body electric. Reverb, chorus, delay and other effects typically used down the pedal chain will sound good though. But if you have a built-in pick up in your amp and pedals, I say give it a shot and see what works. I play Joyner electric body ukuleles with my band, The Margaret Hooligans. But Risa and Flight offer them as well.

They may be - I am never sure how they determine levels. I figure if you can make those chords that places it at an advanced beginner level based on what I have seen from festivals where I teach. But, as always, slow it down where needed and if it is too hard, come back to it when you're further along.

Thanks. I play a Koaloha Opio made of Sapele wood. The strings haven't been changed in awhile! I believe they are D'addario Fluorocarbon strings, and my E string is an Aquila because I busted one but didn't want to change the whole set.

No problem! Baby steps. Always go slow and practice your chord transitions first to help with that awkward pause between changes.

Hi Peter. It's definitely not intentional, but it sounds ok to me so I am wondering if there's something wrong with the sound settings on the device you are listening on?

Also, are you watching this on a TV? The sound processors in our phones/tablets/computers tend to compress the sound, but on a TV the depending on what you have hooked up to it - sound bar, stereo speakers may make it sound more muddy.

Thank you for the correction - I got this awhile back and somehow when I went to correct it, I wrote Zeros instead of Fields. Obviously, there are two bands with similar names. @mjholiday557 now I am obsessed. I can't believe there isn't a good version. In fact, whipped out my guitar to see if I could figure it out for you but it is hard to find videos of him playing it and while the chords are the same, it sounds detuned on the recording.

I really love this song but the more I listen, the more I think that it's possible that it's being played in an alternate tuning (not standard).
