There is a lawsuit against Riverside with a lead attorney Dan Bolton. From his statement it appears that this shelter gets 39mio per year and the director approximately 500k. Nobody knows how the money is spent but with such amount a lot of good can be done, animals could be treated, fed, given water and clean premises to live in. Everything appears to be contrary in this shelter. I am hearing that shelters get paid less if they are not able to take in any more animals. Well, the mass-murders of animals start to make sense if you take this into consideration. The system may be outdated but the legislative and financial incentives should turn 180 degrees. LET ME SWITCH TO EUROPE: 1) European Union has animal welfare laws with countries like Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, having the most stringent laws protecting animals from abuse. 2) the animals stay in shelters until they get adopted! The infrastructure is set up accordingly and following the laws which require to provide animals with adequate treatment as they are recognized as “fellow sentient species “. 3) the biggest shelter in Europe is in Germany and they rescue animals from other countries where mass-murders on them are still practiced. The infrastructure is in place to support cross-boarder rescues from such countries! MY CONCLUSION: the system has to change at its very base. I am hoping the lawsuit will have a cascading effect on all states! NY shelter getting 77mio and animals sitting in their own feces! Miami Dade is no different with a director making space by murdering new born babies, pregnant animals, seniors etc etc Maybe news like yours would come to investigate these places. Drawing attention of public and explaining to the public how the system works, could make a huge difference esp now in the times of elections. I don’t know if anybody will read my plea for help here but I’m trying to give the voice to those that cannot speak up for themselves… The money machine has to be stopped and has to support the right cause - keeping animals alive, giving them dignity and care!

The schools are 'teaching' irrelevant information that is being proven to be incorrect. They no longer 'need' libraries because everything is found on the internet, correct? Wrong! Real life skills are going to carry today's children through faster than an outdated book filled with what the government wants them to be taught. My children learn to think outside the box with unschooling. They do learn reading, writing and arithmetic, history, science and health. They also learn music, arts, how to cook, shop, handle money, code, etc .... Unschooling may be an eccentric approach, but what works for one, may not work for another.
