I know it was a disaster making it but the end result is too good. My daughter uses it everyday day. She had her friends over and they made their lip gloss themselves with this recipe 😁

Hello, nice to hear from you again. It is not drying at all but I use this handwash recipe in my kitchen so I need something that will remove any kind of oil or odor from my hands that is why I didn’t use any oils except for vitamin e oil. I will surely put up the Castile soap recipe as well, that is milder and I use that handwash in my washroom for washing my hands. But I make sure to moisturize my hands as soon as I feel that my hands are dry. Thank you so much for watching.

Did you say milk powder? What kind and where do you get it?
Yes, I used unsweetened milk powder. I got it from Walmart, you can get it from any store. You can also use unsweetened goat milk powder or buttermilk powder.

Citric acid doesn’t stop lye work?
It does that is why extra lye is added.

hi, great video and explanation. but for me, cracking and splitting occurs. be of strange shapes. Are they too wet or dry? I don't know what I'm not doing well
Hi, I am not too sure what could be causing the shower steamers to crack, maybe too dry because in my experience when it is too wet they fizz and form warts. It is ok to not get it right the first time, it took me many attempts and recipes to get it right.

I got my hand mixer from Brambleberry.
Sometimes the top my shower steamers get stuck in the mold. Do you know why? And how I cam fix it. Your shower steamers look perfect.
The reason for the shower steamers to be stuck in the mold could be that it is too dry or the mixture has less binding agents. Try to make it more wet or if the mixture is wet enough then try adding some extra cornstarch or cream of tartar to the mixture.

It is mooncake press.
I followed your recipe but when I’m at the bottom of my mixture it feels dry and doesn’t hold anymore and I ruined it when I sprayed some more water 😅 what did I do? The first ones are perfect tho…
I am so sorry to hear that the last few didn't set properly, at times the weather plays a major role. I don't like to make shower steamers and bath bombs when it is humid.

How long after making shower steamers can you pack them
I wait for 24 hours before packing.
Can you use a heart shaped small muffin tin for the mold instead of a press? Also, how long do they need to dry?
I am not sure if you can use muffin tins because it would be difficult to get the steamers out of the tin. But you can use silicone or plastic molds. I let mine dry for 24 hours depending on the weather.
My shower steamers was swollen over the mold
That could be because of excess moisture content.

I used mica powder for the color, but using color is optional you don't need to use a color.

Hi. What can I use instead of menthol crystals and mica powder? Battling to find it. From South Africa
You can just leave out the menthol and mica powder. I use menthol because it makes the shower steamers more potent but they work perfectly fine without menthol. I use mica just to identify the shower steamers when I am at the Farmers market were I sell them.
