Sunroom Addition Series (Part 2, Final Design, Plumbing, Concrete, Framing for Roof)
This is part 2 to the sunroom series and I pick up where I left off from the last video. I created a design on the 5D app. I rented a trencher and laid the pex and gas line for the grill island. Roberto and his crew then came and poured an amazing concrete pad. After that, I was able to rebuild the roof header and set new post. Then, I finish the video building the roof for the bay door and installing a fake soffit all the way around the perimeter.

In this video, I am just demoing all the old and preparing for concrete. I also found termite damage on one of the posts, so I had to add additional supports to hold the roof while concr...

Did this fix the issue and how is it driving now ?
Yes sir, my mother hasn't had any trouble since.
How did you remove the steering wheel assembly? I can’t figure out how to remove it.
You have to remove the linkage and steering motor underneath, then depress the clips on each side of the column while pulling the steering wheel, It should slide off. Then there was a small metal dowel pin under the steering wheel that I knocked out the a nail and a hammer.
@@treyhaberman Thanks! I snagged a pink one yesterday that my neighbor was tossing out that’s in need of a paint job. I removed everything except the steering wheel and dashboard. I couldn’t figure out how to remove it without “customizing” a few pieces. I’ll revisit it again tomorrow now that I know it can be done.
@christopherhall8119 welcome man, hope it works out ok
@@treyhaberman it worked out! It’s amazing what a little guidance and some daylight will do to help you get some things accomplished. I really appreciate your help.

@antonioinfante9170 really wonder if pulling the engine would be quicker
Why small wheels in the center??? Really difficult to lift the frame up to pin it down or up again.
The small wheels on only for transporting when folded up. When the legs are down and pinned, all the weight needs to be on the outer 4 wheels
Hello Sir , did you check the cam follower that is between the camshaft lobe and the pump shaft for wear ? Do you recommend to change it ? Thanks
Yes sir. I pinned the top comment that I would recommend replacing the cam follower. It's easy access and cheap.
I think our 96 Ranger water pump failed today. This look's like a pain to get to, and reassemble afterward
Just be patient and tackle one thing at a time. You got this.
@@treyhaberman Not really... We've been moving, all my tool's are moved already. Plus it's supposed to rain all week. Worse, we have to be out by the 28th. 😡
@@treyhaberman Unfortunately time is against us now. I replaced the water pump on my 89 GTA. It looks easier than the Ranger engine setup honestly.
Thanks
Got all of the parts to do this on a 2012 Equinox that my daughter just bought. Lumpy idle, rives fine below about 3,000 RPM, but if you give it WOT, it will say "Reduced Engine Power, Service Stabillitrak". Figure I would start here since the 'Nox has about 192,xxx on it. Got the pump, fuel line, and cam follower to do it all at once. Hopefully this fixes everything. Has also shown the throttle position sensor code which would point to the sensor in the gas pedal. Only other code that does not make sense is the P0291A. Previous (original) owner just replaced the MAF sensor as well. Considering a one owner car that we only paid $2,800 for with a file folder full of dealer service records, I figured it is worth put a little bit into to get it running right. Any other thoughts as to what I could be missing?
Did you smell fuel in the oil or does your Nox continue to run and then stumble and die after you shut off the key?
@@treyhaberman It does not do the "dieseling" when I turn off the key. Haven't smelled a noticeable fuel smell when pulling the dipstick. The pump area is really noisy when running; more so than you would expect on a GDI motor. I have heard of the cam followers going bad, so that could be making the racket and/or the pump could just be worn out with 192K miles on it. My next thought is the actual injectors could be shot, and/or may the throttle body. Since we talked the seller down $1,450 from what he was asking because of knowing I could be chasing some electronic gremlins, even if I end up doing the injectors and throttle body as well, the cost of all those parts plus the HPFP and cam follower, I'll only be out ~$800 in parts, but then I will know it is all new.
@tomcunningham2063 yea, the problem is different then the equinox I worked on, but I was about to say it sounds like an injector issue. Since you bought the Hpfp, might as well install it because they are prone to failing. Good luck buddy.
@@treyhaberman Thanks. Working on process of elimination. I can't recall the code off the top of my head, but it was one to do with a lean condition on bank 1. Again, looks like this vehicle was taken good care of by the one owner (Interior literally looks brand new and only 2 dings I found while washing it) so I think there is value in going through the exercise.
Just did the fuel pump yesterday. Took about an hour. Fired the 'Nox back up and all check engine lights were gone. Thanks again for the great video.
That's a ridiculous price for a steering box
I agree and did not get ridiculous performance out of it
That's not how the right transmission fluid for that car should look like Nissan NS-2 is not red
Castrol CVT fluid is compatible with NS-2.
I want to change my vct fluid, I have altima 2017 and it has external cooler and oil warmer. I really want to flush the cooler when changing the trans fluid. But im confused how to figure out which hoses to flush ? Can you help please
Hook your trans flush up to the hose that goes to the top of the radiator and flush it from the top to the bottom.
In your video, didn't you use the radiator and the external cooler to cool the trans fluid. Or you made it to cool inside the external cooler only? Thanks for the video.
Yes sir, it goes through the radiator and the external cooler. It's good to have it flow through the radiator to heat up the fluid in the winter.
Hi I have a rogue that the trans cooler broke and I am replacing it the one that looks like a small radiator. Do I fill that before installing or just stall and the car will pull it through ???
The transmission pump will fill it.
Hello, I have a question, what would the connection direction be like: from the radiator which connection (upper or lower) goes to the extra cooler or what is the direction of the connections, thank you
Watch the full video in the link below and fast forward to 14:05. I walk through the flows on there. Thanks
Very good series of videos. This will help me be successful when I tackle my oil pan and timing cover.
Thanks bud. Hope it helps.
I cuss myself all the time when getting oil dripped in my face or trying to get in hard to reach spots, but when done - it feels so good to know that you won! Also, I do the same thing with cleaning the nuts and bolts, but was hoping you'd throw a quick coat of paint on the oil pan. Now for part three!
Tell me about it. Putting a non painted part back on the burb was hard to do, but I was limited on time.
Thanks for the video. I have a ''97 K1500 5.7L and plan to do this work in the next couple months. Timing cover, oil pan gasket,...Any thoughts as to what else I should think about replacing while I'm down there?
Water pump and timing chain set wouldn't hurt. They are fairly cheap and are right there.

I hope the MOOGs don’t disappoint you like they did me. I bought a pair of Moog hub bearings for my 2013 CTS and the same day I installed them I could hear them whining. Bought a set of Mahles, which ironically had the same stamped part number as the MOOGs but they’ve been on 2 years and no issues…knock on wood. I have those hideous 15” factory rims on my Burb right now. I wanted to go to a nice 20” rim because they look good on these trucks but I’m contemplating a 17” rim and have some meat on the tire to prevent losing ride comfort.
I never saw any bad reviews on moog until after I installed them Lol, but they have been holding up so far. Seems like mevotec is the brand people are going with these days. The burb really needs to be regeared after those wheels and tires. She reads about 5 mph slower now and she needs some more acceleration.
@@treyhaberman yeah apparently MOOG began outsourcing their manufacturing overseas a few years back and since, their quality has taken a nose dive. Sad because I remember my grandfather praising Moog parts on all of his Camaros and trans ams. How is braking with the bigger rims? Would you recommend a larger front rotor and dual piston caliper, disc conversion in the rear or just ride stock?
@FunkyGOB yea I hate when part companies do stuff like that. I have the powerstop z36 with upgraded rotors and I did the NBS master cylinder, so she stops great and I didn't feel a big difference with the wheels.
I have the exact same year and color Burb. Went to do the oil pan last year and found out I’d have to lift the engine to get it out. Knowing about the timing cover now has me shopping new chain and what not
Yea it wouldn't hurt. Timing sets are cheap
Did both bolts in the back of the air conditioner bracket have a head on the engine side with a threaded stud and nut coming out of the top? If they're the ones I think they are one stud steadies a tube and the other the starter cable.
Man, it's been a bit since I worked on it, but the bolts that went all the way through were just for the ac compressor itself
Thank you for your quick response and for pointing out the locations of the bracket bolts coming through from the drivers side of the bracket. Good video!

I have the same issue and it seems like a straight forward fix. In some videos they suggest finding the low side of the cam shaft. Is that necessary?
I can't see the fuel pump spring giving you any issue if the cam lobe was on the high side, so I'm gonna say don't worry about that.
Came here to ask this same question, thanks!
Same thank you
I did not have to do that. I did be careful and tighten the bolts slowly and evenly to prevent any canting or binding

What if its leaking trans fluid from the radiator. Will adding this cooler prevent the leak.
I would replace the radiator or repair the leak, just because how sensitive these CVTs are. But, if you're in a bind, yes you could bypass the transmission side of the radiator and just use the cooler.
@@treyhaberman would I do it the same way you did. I just replace the radiator and it's the new one that's leaking lol I thought it was the hose because it popped out because I didnt push the clamp on but I pushed the clamp all the way on and the leak got worse
@@reddplays2367 is it not just a bad hose?
@@treyhaberman well I just checked again and found the nut that screwed onto the radiator where the trans cooler hose go was loose. I tighten the best I could without removing the radiator and hopefully it works. Also noticed the radiator wasnt seated in the grommet properly so I pushed it in. Imma put more fluid in and drive it around to see if it starts leaking. I may need to wash underneath because the fluid that came out is sitting on the bottom so it'll be hard to tell if it's that or if it's still leaking.
