Tesla Model S Refresh - Ohmmu Lithum 12v Battery How to Install
UPDATE: My car finally downloaded the full update. Seems like the battery solved the issue!
Changed my 12v battery to a lithium battery and hope I never have to change it again! I apologize for using the word "So" many times. Public speaking is not my forte. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
You will need an 8mm, 10mm, and a flathead screwdriver.
Battery comes with a 4 year warranty and was purchased from

I wasnt too sure about what cable was what. Apparently they have an installation manual but I wasnt emailed it. Seller is very helpful and answers questions pretty quickly. Tesla AP2 Failure reading Lanes almost hits divider

Failure is at the 14 second mark. Car starts heading toward the divider until I manually take over. It doesn't seem that drastic in the video but while driving it definitely scared me for a second.

Your installation seems faster doing it all under the steering column but sadly it sounds like I need to do the behind the glovebox install since I use AP/FSD. I was curious how you powered the Firestick though!!

I have 2 concerns: 1. does the lithium battery have an internal heater to keep it above 36 deg. F in cold weather? 2. Lithium batteries have a much flatter voltage curve so how does the DC/DC system know when to charge it?

Why wouldn't you just remove the 8mm post bolt and leave the respective negative/positive wires connected? Am I missing something?
Nope, not missing anything. Just remove the 8mm post bolt and save yourself some time.

Its been great. I highly recommend this battery. 18 months now and still going strong.
My original battery will be 5 years old in November and have looked into these batteries but found some having issues with the voltage checks that the car does ! Would it be best to invest in a solar panel trickle charger for the 12volt battery instead ? I also have a spare 12v battery from tesla in the event the original dies suddenly... Great video and info by the way

How did you get sound from the FireTV outputted to the car speakers? Did you connect it via bluetooth?
How hard was it to put back the liftgate panel? Did you put back the panel by yourself or you had help holding the other side ?
How did you get the Bluetooth on Fire Stick connect to Model S?
some 13 and 14 MSs don't even have that extra power cable :(
Unfortunately I got a bit lucky with that. Might have to tap into the car lighter or possibly the rear view mirror
Does the kit allow you to adjust how high the trunk lid opens? Does it use the Tesla fob?

ATTENTION: please DONT use this rear View camera at this Position! the AP will use that Image (from HDMI) it's highly recommend to use the Output from the AP (behind glovebox) to the MCU

Seems like it would have been a good idea to put the box into a kind of "protective enclosure" -- even something as simple as bubble wrap, to keep it from rattling around as you go over bumps and make turns.

EAP uses backup cam too. Is it not disturbed when you use the hdmi? Where does the sound go?
The manufacturer saw my video and emailed me the manual. Turns out I installed it incorrectly. The way I installed it is for AP1 cars. I should have used the camera cable coming out of the AP 2.0 box. The reason for this is in case the car needs to use the backup camera for FSD. If the hdmi input is enabled it wont be able to use the backup camera unless I rewire it coming out of the AP 2.0 box. The AP 2.0 box is behind the glove box. Its not necessary for me to change it anytime soon and I dont plan on using the hdmi interface while driving. FSD is also nowhere insight so not a complete priority at the moment.

How does sound work?
You have to pair your device with the bluetooth in the car. I cant seem to get the firestick to work so I might not go this route

Its constant. Blackvue will switch to parked mode automatically

Where would you suggest running and tucking the wire to the back for a car that has the all glass roof (doesn’t open)? Can you remind me, is the right angle connector only for a cleaner look?
Tony can you please tell me what length those struts are? I ordered apparently same product from same company at the link you provided but struts are only 695mm long comparing to original Tesla ones that are 717mm long. I kept hitting my head into tailgate so I have to return it back to China and shipping is expensive. I noticed that your tailgate shuts down without having to be pulled in by a cable with actuator. Did you kit come with that actuator too? Your gate shuts down nicely but my one did not. Looking forward to your reply. Greetings from Australia

When you say to use a coat hanger, are you using a thin metal one or a thicker plastic hanger? You mention thin so I'm assuming wire.
I don't think it would have hit, seems similar to what it does on local roads, sticking close to the edge when no line detected.

Parking mode enables automatically from the camera. It senses if its sitting for a while and switches to parking mode
