Newly Paved! NJMP Thunderbolt 1:28.84 Corvette C8 Z51 MOE HPDE
It is as they say, the new pavement shaves 2-3 secs off your lap time. I went down from 1:31 to 1:28.
Weather is freezing--was okay in the morning, low 50s, but this one is last one in the afternoon in low 40s. No sunshine at all after noon. Track is ice cold.
The 35 HCs Nankang CRS easily overheat after just 2 push laps, so my pb lap is kinda messy towards the end, otherwise has another 0.5 or so. Definitely got another 1-2 secs in this car with this set up, but with fresh tires, good weather, i think 1:26 is easy, even 1:25 is possible.

Into the 12s! Stock except pads, fluids, 1yr old CRS v1 (265/305) 25 hcs GM recommended track alignment, Apex SM-10 rims 18/19 PTM Race 1 Windy, 50Fs NASA NE instructor session. Happy to PB at first event of the year!

Great weather (50Fs) but afternoon session kinda cold and slippery. Had to change brakes so only is the second session I drove that day. Chasing a very fast friend in his 981 GT4 who's running 12s. 25 HC Nankang CRS v1 265/18, 305/19 on APEX SM-10s Carbotech XP12, Castrol SRF GM Track alignment -3/-2.5 PTM Race 1 (ESC off, a bit TC)

Full stock 2023 C8 Z51, stock tires (PS4S), track alignment It's my first day driving this C8 on track, so still getting to learn the car. Failed to turn SC and TC off this session, getting some nannies kicking in. Great fun running with the Porsche! Was a NASA NE HPDE 3/4 mixed session and last session of the year actually. What a way to end a season!

Running with HOD first time! Group C is passing anywhere with a point. 40 cars in one session is usually not good, but glad that everyone was skillful and courteous, so as to make the passing as smooth as possible.

Oh man oh man, what a weekend, what a challenge. AD08R proves to be way, way less grippy than RT660, which were the tires that I ran here last time. Made the weekend a lot more challenging. Is the front straight kink flat out in this car? I'm used to tracking a BRZ but I have a Supra 3.0 now and will be taking it to the track soon.
You mean turn 12 after the bridge? If Supra is stock, would suggest a lift or a slight tap on brake before the turn; with aero and good tw200 tires might be able to do flat but still need a good line. Hope this helps!

Wow stock Supra with only tires and brake pads and camber plates very impressive. I was thinking off adding sway bars and tires only to my Supra.
Thanks man! There’s definitely more in the car. Sway bars are good idea as stock is a bit too soft.

Wow that was fast. Nice driving. I was there on Oct 29 with a Z51and track alignment and could only manage 1:34's. What tire pressures where you running?
Thanks man! Had some help with a very fast friend coaching. I was running cold 26s except 25on the left front and getting 30-31psi all around when running, just like the track manual suggested.

Thanks man! No-as the channel name suggests, think the supra is pretty good out of the box; only thing I did was tires pads and alignment and it runs on the track non stop! Still my street car too so not putting cage/racing seat in either; just gonna hold myself in place in the seat 😂
@@bbzracing1680 Fair enough man I definitely hear ya. Stock A90’s are already pretty much supercar quick, however a spicy little ecu remap wouldn’t hurt! 🤷♂️ Haha

Hey nice driving and the exposure lock did the trick. That last "jump" before the straight can be scary when you start turning the systems off hehe. Good job.
