Founded on January 1, 1956, The Pearl River Piano Group Ltd., has become one of the most prestigious names in international piano manufacturing. Based in the Pearl River Delta in the city of Guangzhou, the company operates the world’s largest piano manufacturing facility and currently produces Pearl River, Ritmuller and Kayserburg pianos as well as a variety of OEM pianos.
In an effort to take the company to the highest levels of quality and design, Pearl River management revised and streamlined its model line with the assistance of Lothar Thomma, a well-respected Swiss scale designer, and his colleague Stephen Mohler, who is now head of Pearl River’s quality control. Many new models have been introduced, while older models have been reviewed and modified.

Mike Lawson Pearl River Guitar Interview
Lifelong professional guitarist Mike Lawson visited Pearl River to see how the guitars are built in person and offer his expertise as a working guitarist for the North American market. In this interview, Mike discusses his reaction to playing his first Pearl River guitar and advice for musicians based on his experience. Thus experience has lead to Mike collaborating with Pearl River on the Mike Lawson Signature Pearl River Guitar Line (coming out in early 2025).
