The Warnings of History to the Ungodly Jude, a bond-servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, To those who are the called, beloved in God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ: May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all time handed down to the saints. For certain people have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into indecent behavior and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Now I want to remind you, though you know everything once and for all, that the Lord, after saving a people out of the land of Egypt, subsequently destroyed those who did not believe. And angels who did not keep their own domain but abandoned their proper dwelling place, these He has kept in eternal restraints under darkness for the judgment of the great day, just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these angels indulged in sexual perversion and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire. But Michael the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him an abusive judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” But these people disparage all the things that they do not understand; and all the things that they know by instinct, like unreasoning animals, by these things they are destroyed. Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, and for pay they have given themselves up to the error of Balaam, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. These are the ones who are hidden reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, like shepherds caring only for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted; wild waves of the sea, churning up their own shameful deeds like dirty foam; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of darkness has been reserved forever. It was also about these people that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, “Behold, the Lord has come with many thousands of His holy ones, to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage. Keep Yourselves in the Love of God But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. And have mercy on some, who are doubting; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh. Now to Him who is able to protect you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority before all time and now and forever. Amen.

You know what Sequim needs? A church that follows the "New Testament Pattern" established by Christ! A church that meets collectively on the first day of the week (Sunday) to worship God, partake of communion, sing songs to praise God and encourage one another, Give a monetary offering, hear lessons from God’s word, and “stimulate one another to love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24). Throughout this assembly, They would pray to God for spiritual direction, for His forgiveness, and that He would receive their worship. Since God is holy, transcendent of human nature, and all-powerful, He is deserving of our utmost reverence. Therefore, striving to maintain decency and orderliness in their assemblies (1 Corinthians 14:40) without giving way to formalism or legalism. Collective worship follows the New Testament pattern and the teaching of Christ’s apostles as they taught “in every church” (1 Corinthians 4:17). They seek to inform, educate, edify, and encourage all who attend their services. They are not interested in entertainment, putting on a performance, or appealing to any one age group or demographic that may be represented in the audience. They do not prevent or prohibit the attendance of of , provided every person respects the decency and dignity of their services. The purpose of sermons and classes would be to teach God’s word, the Bible (2 Timothy 2:2). They believe these Scriptures to be sufficient for all that is required for life with God and a righteous conduct with one another (2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:3). They do not appeal to human creeds, human consensus, or human authorities, but to Christ alone. You will be able to sit quietly and follow along in their own Bible as the lesson is presented. The Bible is the absolute authority for all matters pertaining to doctrine and salvation. They are not interested in popularity, pluralism, supporting non-biblical faiths, advancement of personal opinions, or accommodating social expectations. Traditionally they would offer separate Bible classes for children of all age groups. A PowerPoint slideshow and or printed handouts are great tools the preacher can use to facilitate the learning experience. They would engage in congregational singing at every service (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16). This gives everyone an opportunity to participate in praise to God and edification of one another because they understand this to be an act of fellowship that is made possible by the participation of all members equally in a collective experience. This excludes the use of instrumental music, separate choirs, or “praise teams” as an accompaniment to or replacement for their singing. According to the New Testament pattern, They would take up a monetary collection on the “first day of the week” (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). These are voluntary offerings from the members of that congregation (2 Corinthians 9:6-8). They would ask their visitors for contributions, The interest of this church and the preacher is not their money, it is to greet them with a warm welcome and to feed them spiritually with the truth, they are the honored guests. The most important reason Christians come together on the first day of every week. As directed by Jesus (Matthew 26:26-29) and the apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 11:23-26), and following the example of the early church (Acts 2:42, 20:7), Christians join in celebrating a memorial of Christ every first day of the week. This involves partaking of unleavened bread and fruit of the vine (red grape juice) by every Christian who is present, The bread symbolizes Christ’s body; the juice symbolizes His blood; we are instructed to “Do this in remembrance of Me [Christ].” The Lord’s Supper is only for genuine believers who are in good standing with the Christ. It is impossible for those who are not Christians in good standing to honor the body and blood of our Savior.
