National Council for Mental Wellbeing
Registrace 30. 04. 2009
Founded in 1969, the National Council for Mental Wellbeing is a membership organization that drives policy and social change on behalf of nearly 3,300 mental health and substance use treatment organizations and the more than 10 million children, adults and families they serve. We advocate for policies to ensure equitable access to high-quality services. We build the capacity of mental health and substance use treatment organizations. And we promote greater understanding of mental wellbeing as a core component of comprehensive health and health care. Through our Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) program, we have trained more than 3 million people in the U.S. to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges.
The Living Room: Leveraging the Peer Workforce in Crisis Stabilization
As crisis response services systems continue to evolve, it is imperative that service systems and delivery be informed by those with lived experience of receiving these services. Recognizing this, organizations across the country are leveraging lived experience and peer supports to innovate and build robust ER alternative programs for Crisis Stabilization services. Presenters from the National Council and Ellis Mental Health Services will explore and discuss the Living Room Model, one such recovery-centered alternative, which has helped provide support to many individuals facing challenges related to mental health, substance use and serious mental illness.
This webinar was developed [in part] under contract number HHSS283201200021I/HHS28342003T from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Next time. If you’re struggling with what to do or how to do things, contact some authorities for advice. Authorities LIKE ME that you blocked from doing normal things on earth in my own life.
See Sergey. What was the big deal. Look what you’ve all done.
I slowed it down to .75 and his speaking still seemed fast at times! Jam packed.
I have his book what happened to you. But I haven't read because I can't write a review on my Kindle since my last phone linked to this number got hacked at a shelter by the dishonest reverend. #angelamichellevaughan #eminem IRS.gov #drbruceperry I watch things like this for therapy purposes. I have a lot of childhood trauma and still adult childhood trauma I am the scapegoat.
Have you factored in the FBI and their involvement?? Seems they are always IMMEDIATELY on the scene at all these events......
I'm going to the next one in 2024. Just got the training approved through my job. So excited!!

We are recharged about your organization, keep up the good work. But don't you think that you are lagging behind others?
Your agency need video promotion Seo problem CZcams does not rank your channel for keywords
I was certified in 2014. This is a crucial training and should be mandated for all in health and human services, law enforcement, schools, hospitals, clinics, EMS, nursing homes, day cares, corrections, dispatch, caregiving, etc. In my training we did not have people talking in our ears we had hallucinations via goggles and auditory via headphones. It was beyond intense, but needed. From that point in 2014 I was a Psych Major, but was a caregiver/ staff for adults with behavioral health disabilities. Fast forward to 2023 I am 32yo and a Case Manager for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I learned so much more through the years and various other trainings and I couldn't be prouder and especially thankful. Though I would love to take this class again I am sure there is still more to learn and apply. Thank you for putting this class together and also sharing with the world via CZcams! Well wishes and good luck to you all!
Thank you for sharing your stories and skills. Helping #StopTheStigma is so important! #itsoknotobeok #itsokaynottobeokay #mentalhealthmatters

Mental and physical health are equal , we should have the doctor’s office cover you as a whole. Insurances need to incorporate Urgent Mental Healthcare the same.

This is so very important. I'm researching family involvement in treatment for my book Every Homeless Person Has a Mother. I'm researching everything I can find on Dr. Lisa Dixon. Family involvement is crucial for healing. I want to support her work with more evidence.

Thanks for providing this safe space and for sharing your experiences in this very important area. I have worked in corporate America for over 45 years and have, of course encountered many forms of racism, and have just learned to deal with it. I recently received an MA from NYU in mental health therapy and counseling, and I'm beginning my PhD studies at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in October 2023. I look forward to interacting with you all.

Great so you told us the problem. What now?
I as child when through a time when my mother cheated on my father and needed a alyby which was me .one time she took me to a bar where she met up with some guy we stood til the bar closed. Then they took me to the car and told me to wait there they when to his car and were there for a long time I started to call out for her, then I started to honk the horn. She wouldn't come .I started to cry then it started to rain. I frantically cried out for her and honked the horn.she still wouldn't come I started flashing the headlines then she came and told not to tell dad
Is this trama because I was 7yrs. old and got into trouble ever since. The list is long. Everyone down plays it.
Daydreaming also develops lempathy, and with so many children on devices and not daydreaming as much empathy is in danger
Sounds easy enough.. best wishes
