    HI, Rick...overall, what is the difference or even the benefit in using Aqualogix vs. water weights (dumbbells)? Thank you.

    • @masth2o
      @masth2o Před 2 lety

      The Aqualogix Bells take advantage of the waters properties of viscosity and drag. They provide an accommodating resistance which means the harder you push them through the water the more resistance you will receive. Water weights or foam dumbbells do not provide the same beneficial resistance.

    Hi I'm a triathlete with a foot injury and I just started shallow pool running. My calf are incredibly sore from my first session, so much that I have not biked or swam in the 2 days since my aqua run. It's pretty impossible to get my full foot down onto the pool bottom. I'm just wondering if you have experienced this?

    Hey Rick, Thanks for your cool channel. I will be purchasing the Aqualogix Maximum Resistance Bells. The aqua training will be my supplement for my mma training (only martial arts classes without weight lifting). I want to stay injury free and build as much muscle as possible. Ive been lifting for 8 years with good results, but I can see my joint health declining. What can I expect? Do you think that doing water resistance training and mma will still enable me to have a ripped physique? Cheers

    • @masth2o
      @masth2o Před 3 lety

      I think water resistance training can help you stay injury free and is a nice cross training medium for your land based activities. I think proper diet and exercise will help you with that ripped physique.

    Again, thank you for these comparisons and how you apply them. In Sweden, I can only find the AquaStrength for purchase and if I want the AquaLogic, I have to buy from America directly and the cost of added tax and import duties would be about the same or more than the cost of the items themselves. So, can I get your opinion please. I’m a larger female, with more muscle mass than average for my size, but I’m also overweight. I want to train in water, as I prefer this, I need to rebuild strength as well. Do you think the AquaStrength is still fine to start out with, as the other option would cost me double?

    • @masth2o
      @masth2o Před 4 lety

      A Smith Bill yes, definitely. Aquastrength fins are great. Also given that water will provide greater resistance with increased speed I don’t think you can go wrong with either. I definitely understand the price point predicament. I would recommend whatever device would be cheaper for you . Hope that helps.

      I bought one of the push plates. Because I teach water aerobics and are always on the look out for new pieces of equipment that I can introduce to a class to make their workouts fun and enjoyable. The price was the drawback for outfitting a whole class with this push plate. I enjoyed using it one on one for myself, and would say to someone that liked to use various pieces of equipment that it was fun to put into my rotation, and did get out of it what I wanted, but again getting a POOL OR AQUATICS CENTER to supply a class of some size with these would be pricey.. But it is nice to see the faces of my workout group when I bring out pieces of equipment they have never saw before and the excitement they get wanting to get into the water and start learning how to add this to our routines. So far though I have only shown these push plates to individuals that like to workout on their own time, for them to buy themselves....
